SHEIN IPO Price and Valuation: How Much Is SHEIN Worth?

Key Takeaways
SHEIN’s Hong Kong IPO price range of HK$47.60–HK$49.50 implies a market value of about $25.8–$26.8 billion, roughly 70% below its 2022 peak valuation. Here is what the IPO price, valuation reset and investor protections mean.
SHEIN is offering its Hong Kong IPO shares at HK$47.60 to HK$49.50 each, putting an official public-market valuation range on the company after years of private fundraising.
The offering includes 279,992,500 Class B shares, or roughly 280 million shares. At the top of the range, the base deal would generate approximately HK$13.86 billion in gross proceeds before fees and any over-allotment, while valuing SHEIN at about HK$210.2 billion, or US$26.8 billion.
That valuation is roughly 70% below the US$98.2 billion private valuation SHEIN reached in 2022, making the IPO a major reset in how investors value one of the world’s largest online fashion businesses.

What Is the SHEIN IPO Price?

The official IPO range is HK$47.60 to HK$49.50 per share.
The offer price is expected to be determined by August 28 and announced on or before August 31. SHEIN shares are scheduled to begin trading on September 1 under Hong Kong stock code 00625.
At HK$49.50 per share, approximately 280 million offered shares would generate HK$13.86 billion in gross proceeds before fees and any over-allotment.
That figure is different from SHEIN’s valuation. The amount raised represents capital generated by the share sale, while market capitalization represents the implied value of the company’s equity as a whole.

How Much Is SHEIN Worth?

Across the current IPO range, SHEIN’s implied market capitalization is approximately HK$202.1 billion to HK$210.2 billion, equivalent to about US$25.8 billion to US$26.8 billion.
The valuation can also be viewed against SHEIN’s existing financial scale. The company generated US$41.847 billion in revenue and US$2.064 billion in net income in 2025.
Using the top end of the IPO valuation as a simple reference, SHEIN is being valued at approximately 0.6 times 2025 revenue and 13 times 2025 net income.
Those ratios alone do not explain the valuation, however. Investors are also pricing in a significant slowdown in growth and increasing pressure on the economics of SHEIN’s cross-border business model.

Why Did SHEIN’s Valuation Fall From Nearly $100 Billion?

SHEIN reached a US$98.2 billion valuation in 2022, when investors were willing to pay substantially higher multiples for rapidly growing internet and e-commerce companies. Its valuation later fell to around US$64 billion in 2023 before dropping again ahead of the Hong Kong IPO.
The business itself continued growing. Revenue increased from US$32.1 billion in 2023 to US$38.7 billion in 2024 and US$41.8 billion in 2025.
The pace of that growth, however, changed significantly. Revenue growth slowed from 20.7% in 2024 to 8.0% in 2025, then to just 1.1% in Q1 2026.
Net profitability also weakened. SHEIN’s net income fell from US$3.37 billion in 2024 to US$2.06 billion in 2025. In Q1 2026, operating income fell about 26% and operating margin declined to 2.9%.
Trade policy has added further pressure. Changes to U.S. low-value parcel rules increased costs associated with SHEIN’s direct cross-border shipping model, while the EU has also introduced new duties and fees on low-value e-commerce imports.
The valuation decline therefore reflects a change in what investors are willing to pay for SHEIN’s scale. The company is still enormous, but its future growth is becoming slower and more expensive.

What Do SHEIN’s Investor Protections Mean?

The lower IPO valuation also affects some investors who entered SHEIN during earlier private funding rounds.
Certain holders of Series pre-D, Series D and Series D+ preferred shares negotiated protections against a future listing at a substantially lower valuation.
Under the IPO arrangements, eligible investors can receive up to approximately US$3.5 billion in cash payments. Separately, approximately 19.6 million additional Class B shares will be issued at nil consideration under conversion-adjustment mechanisms.
The distinction matters: the US$3.5 billion refers to cash payments and does not include the additional shares.
These provisions show that SHEIN’s valuation decline is more than a headline comparison between its 2022 peak and 2026 IPO. The reset has real financial consequences for the company and some of its existing shareholders.

Is SHEIN Cheap at a $26.8 Billion Valuation?

A lower valuation does not automatically mean a stock is cheap.
SHEIN’s implied valuation is much lower than its historical private valuation and relatively modest compared with its annual revenue. But the company is entering the public market at a time when growth has slowed sharply and its cross-border operating model faces higher tariff, logistics and regulatory costs.
The central valuation question is therefore whether SHEIN can return to stronger profitable growth while adapting its supply chain and fulfilment model.
If growth stabilizes and margins recover, the current valuation may look very different from the US$98.2 billion peak simply because public investors are using more conservative assumptions. If profitability remains under pressure, the lower multiple may instead reflect a structurally different earnings outlook.
