The fourth season of Amazon’s animated comic book TV show, Invincible, is just around the corner, landing just one year after Season 3’s jaw-dropping finale. The series is a massive hit, earning a near-100% Rotten Tomatoes score across all three seasons and making it one of the best-reviewed shows in Amazon Prime Video’s lineup.

The critical praise is well-deserved. Invincible is one of the best superhero shows on TV, blending intense and often gory action with smart plotting and character development, clever storytelling, a refreshingly earnest protagonist and an incredible cast. Comparisons have been made to Amazon’s other hit comic book show, The Boys, but Invincible relies much less on shock value, crass humor and current headlines for material.

Invincible follows the exploits of Mark Grayson (aka Invincible), played by The Walking Dead alum, Steven Yeun. Mark is the son of Debbie (Sandra Oh) and Nolan Grayson (J.K. Simmons) and inherits his powers of flight, strength and near-invincibility from his father, Omni-Man, the most powerful superhero on Earth.

Mark joins other young heroes such as Atom Eve (Gillian Jacobs), Rex Splode (Jason Mantzoukas) and Robot (Zachary Quinto) as he battles diabolical supervillains, faces down government spooks and learns more about his father’s true origin, civilizations spanning the galaxy and, perhaps most importantly, himself.

The rest of the cast is too long to list here in full, but includes other Walking Dead alumni and a laundry list of celebrities like Walton Goggins, Mark Hamill, Mahershala Ali, Aaron Paul, Rhea Seehorn and many, many more. Scroll down to the end of this post to learn about a new and pretty exciting addition to the cast coming in Season 4, and enjoy the exclusive first-look images below.

Robert Kirkman On What To Expect From ‘Invincible’ Season 4

Invincible is based on the series of comic books of the same name by Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead. Kirkman is closely involved in the show’s production, working alongside showrunner Simon Racioppa on the series. I asked Kirkman about the upcoming fourth season and what fans can expect as the story continues to heat up.

Season 4 is going to be “brutal” according to Kirkman, “but not in the standard way you expect from seeing season 1-3. It’s still brutal in that way but season 4 is brutal in so many emotional ways that I think will catch people off guard.”

Following the emotionally brutal conclusion of Season 3, this is certainly cause for concern. However brutal the actual violence is in this show, the violence often serves a purpose beyond shock value. Kirkman’s storytelling philosophy here is simple: Violence should stem from and serve character growth, emerging organically within a story. “It’s only when you lose sight of that,” he says, “and aren’t tied to character and emotion like you should be, that things can be off-putting and veer into gratuitous and, even worse, superfluous violence.”

The same goes for balancing story and spectacle, something that far too many shows and movies in the genre seem to get wrong. “You just have to make sure the spectacle is a direct result of the emotional story and that it’s reciprocal,” Kirkman tells me, “and circles back into the emotional story and enhances it.”

Season 3 was at once a humbling and harrowing journey for Mark. As his enemies ramped up the stakes, very nearly overwhelming our heroes, Mark found himself in some of the most desperate fights he’s encountered. The vengeful Angstrom Levy (Sterling K. Brown) mad with spite, unleashed a horde of unstable Invincible variants on the world, each from a different dimension.

The ensuing fight was devastating, but Mark barely had time to catch his breath before the elite Viltrumite envoy, Conquest (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), arrived. Without the help of his half-brother Oliver (Christian Convery) and Atom Eve, Mark would have surely been destroyed by the sadistic alien. This was an earth-shattering conflict that led to some earth-shattering revelations for our hero.

Season 4 will explore the Mark that emerges from the wreckage. “Mark is on a journey to discover who he is,” Kirkman tells me. “That’s really the thrust of his story as he moves from adolescence into adulthood. I believe that at his core Mark is a good person, but as he grows as a person and adjusts his methods to accomplish his goals… he may not always seem like a good person or a hero.”

One of my favorite things about Invincible is its colorful cadre of villains and anti-heroes, from Omni-Man to Angstrom Levy to Machine Head (Jeffrey Donovan) and the Mauler Twins (Kevin Michael Richardson). Each provides Invincible with a parade of creative conflicts to overcome, often leaving him beat and bloodied in the process.

Like most great villains, these are often characters who see their actions as justified. Omni-Man believed that his mission for the Viltrumite Empire was for the greater good, no matter how much death and destruction he left in his wake. Angstrom Levy began his work with noble ideals in mind before his experiment went haywire. I ask Kirkman if this trend will continue in Season 4.

“Every good antagonist believes they’re doing the right thing,” he says. “So wholeheartedly, yes.”

Will Season 4 Make Changes To The Comics?

As for changes from the comic books, Kirkman says the show errs on the side of fidelity to the source material (a practice I wish more adaptations would adhere to) but that fans should still expect some surprises. “This show will always follow the comics closely,” he says. “That’s something that’s very important to me. All that said, I can get complacent and doing shiny new things is always my preference, so this season more than any other thus far, goes off in some… I’ll say… interesting tangents.”

Even for fans who know the plot well, Season 4 will throw some curveballs at viewers. “It’s possible for fans of the comic to make a vague checklist and say ‘I believe season 4 is going to hit these story beats from the comic.’ and be very close to being right, but how each of those moments land, how we arrive at them and the exact way they play out will always have new elements of discovery to them.”

Another ‘The Walking Dead’ Star Joins ‘Invincible’

I’ve saved this image for last. It shows Atom Eve battling Universa, a mysterious alien antagonist who presents a new threat for Invincible and the gang in Season 4. Until now, her casting has remained a mystery, but I’m happy to reveal that yet another The Walking Dead star is joining the cast of Invincible next season:

Danai Gurira will be voicing Universa, joining the legion of TWD stars before her. Gurira played Michonne on The Walking Dead beginning in Season 3 and last appeared in the spinoff series, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.

The Invincible Season 4 logline reads: “While the world recovers from catastrophe, a changed Mark fights to protect his home and the people he loves, setting him on a collision course with a threat that could alter the fate of humanity forever.”

The new season is slated for a March, 2026 release date. Are you looking forward to Season 4? Which of the previous three seasons was your favorite? Let me know on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook.

Unlocking Massive Value: Curve Finance Revenue Sharing Proposal for CRV Holders

Unlocking Massive Value: Curve Finance Revenue Sharing Proposal for CRV Holders

BitcoinWorld Unlocking Massive Value: Curve Finance Revenue Sharing Proposal for CRV Holders The dynamic world of decentralized finance (DeFi) is constantly evolving, bringing forth new opportunities and innovations. A significant development is currently unfolding at Curve Finance, a leading decentralized exchange (DEX). Its founder, Michael Egorov, has put forth an exciting proposal designed to offer a more direct path for token holders to earn revenue. This initiative, centered around a new Curve Finance revenue sharing model, aims to bolster the value for those actively participating in the protocol’s governance. What is the “Yield Basis” Proposal and How Does it Work? At the core of this forward-thinking initiative is a new protocol dubbed Yield Basis. Michael Egorov introduced this concept on the CurveDAO governance forum, outlining a mechanism to distribute sustainable profits directly to CRV holders. Specifically, it targets those who stake their CRV tokens to gain veCRV, which are essential for governance participation within the Curve ecosystem. Let’s break down the initial steps of this innovative proposal: crvUSD Issuance: Before the Yield Basis protocol goes live, $60 million in crvUSD will be issued. Strategic Fund Allocation: The funds generated from the sale of these crvUSD tokens will be strategically deployed into three distinct Bitcoin-based liquidity pools: WBTC, cbBTC, and tBTC. Pool Capping: To ensure balanced risk and diversified exposure, each of these pools will be capped at $10 million. This carefully designed structure aims to establish a robust and consistent income stream, forming the bedrock of a sustainable Curve Finance revenue sharing mechanism. Why is This Curve Finance Revenue Sharing Significant for CRV Holders? This proposal marks a pivotal moment for CRV holders, particularly those dedicated to the long-term health and governance of Curve Finance. Historically, generating revenue for token holders in the DeFi space can often be complex. The Yield Basis proposal simplifies this by offering a more direct and transparent pathway to earnings. By staking CRV for veCRV, holders are not merely engaging in governance; they are now directly positioned to benefit from the protocol’s overall success. The significance of this development is multifaceted: Direct Profit Distribution: veCRV holders are set to receive a substantial share of the profits generated by the Yield Basis protocol. Incentivized Governance: This direct financial incentive encourages more users to stake their CRV, which in turn strengthens the protocol’s decentralized governance structure. Enhanced Value Proposition: The promise of sustainable revenue sharing could significantly boost the inherent value of holding and staking CRV tokens. Ultimately, this move underscores Curve Finance’s dedication to rewarding its committed community and ensuring the long-term vitality of its ecosystem through effective Curve Finance revenue sharing. Understanding the Mechanics: Profit Distribution and Ecosystem Support The distribution model for Yield Basis has been thoughtfully crafted to strike a balance between rewarding veCRV holders and supporting the wider Curve ecosystem. Under the terms of the proposal, a substantial portion of the value generated by Yield Basis will flow back to those who contribute to the protocol’s governance. Returns for veCRV Holders: A significant share, specifically between 35% and 65% of the value generated by Yield Basis, will be distributed to veCRV holders. This flexible range allows for dynamic adjustments based on market conditions and the protocol’s performance. Ecosystem Reserve: Crucially, 25% of the Yield Basis tokens will be reserved exclusively for the Curve ecosystem. This allocation can be utilized for various strategic purposes, such as funding ongoing development, issuing grants, or further incentivizing liquidity providers. This ensures the continuous growth and innovation of the platform. The proposal is currently undergoing a democratic vote on the CurveDAO governance forum, giving the community a direct voice in shaping the future of Curve Finance revenue sharing. The voting period is scheduled to conclude on September 24th. What’s Next for Curve Finance and CRV Holders? The proposed Yield Basis protocol represents a pioneering approach to sustainable revenue generation and community incentivization within the DeFi landscape. If approved by the community, this Curve Finance revenue sharing model has the potential to establish a new benchmark for how decentralized exchanges reward their most dedicated participants. It aims to foster a more robust and engaged community by directly linking governance participation with tangible financial benefits. This strategic move by Michael Egorov and the Curve Finance team highlights a strong commitment to innovation and strengthening the decentralized nature of the protocol. For CRV holders, a thorough understanding of this proposal is crucial for making informed decisions regarding their staking strategies and overall engagement with one of DeFi’s foundational platforms. FAQs about Curve Finance Revenue Sharing Q1: What is the main goal of the Yield Basis proposal? A1: The primary goal is to establish a more direct and sustainable way for CRV token holders who stake their tokens (receiving veCRV) to earn revenue from the Curve Finance protocol. Q2: How will funds be generated for the Yield Basis protocol? A2: Initially, $60 million in crvUSD will be issued and sold. The funds from this sale will then be allocated to three Bitcoin-based pools (WBTC, cbBTC, and tBTC), with each pool capped at $10 million, to generate profits. Q3: Who benefits from the Yield Basis revenue sharing? A3: The proposal states that between 35% and 65% of the value generated by Yield Basis will be returned to veCRV holders, who are CRV stakers participating in governance. Q4: What is the purpose of the 25% reserve for the Curve ecosystem? A4: This 25% reserve of Yield Basis tokens is intended to support the broader Curve ecosystem, potentially funding development, grants, or other initiatives that contribute to the platform’s growth and sustainability. Q5: When is the vote on the Yield Basis proposal? A5: A vote on the proposal is currently underway on the CurveDAO governance forum and is scheduled to run until September 24th.
