Cody Rhodes Attacks Drew McIntyre

  • Drew McIntyre pulled up in a truck but was told to go home by Nick Aldis since he is still suspended. Fans loudly booed this decision. Drew acknowledged that Aldis’ decree was hurting the fans, and Aldis actually said he didn’t care. Cody Rhodes attacked Drew McIntyre in his truck and fans cheered Cody.
  • Cody stormed to the ring and begged Aldis to lift McIntyre’s suspension. He called Drew McIntyre WWE’s resident cockroach. Cody said Drew has never beat him (not true), but he is the one man who has ever broken him.

WWE SmackDown Opening Segment Grade: B

Ilja Dragunov Def. Carmelo Hayes

  • Backstage, Carmelo Hayes had a heated interaction with Tommaso Ciampa. Ciampa was wearing a t-shirt that said “Don’t call me a jackass.” Candice LeRae wore a t-shirt that said “Don’t call my husband’s best friend a jackass.”
  • Ilja Dragunov started off by dominating Hayes. Carmelo made a spirited comeback after the break. Melo built up a head of steam and even hit a springboard DDT on the apron. Fans chanted “let’s go Melo!” This man is getting over in
  • As Carmelo closed in on the win, Tommaso Ciampa crotched Melo from the top rope. An oblivious Dragunov capitalized with a Torpedo Moscow followed by an H-Bomb. When Dragunov found out Ciampa helped him win, he was furious. Dragunov finally accepted Ciampa’s weeks-long challenge for the US Title for next week.

Ilja Dragunov vs. Carmelo Hayes Match Grade: B+

Alexa Bliss Def. Kairi Sane

  • Corey Graves argued that Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss still haven’t received their rematch, and a win for Alexa would strengthen their chances. Kairi hit an impressive double-stomp on Axa while Bliss hung upside down on the top rope. Fans chanted “Lexi” as Bliss dodged a charging Kairi.
  • Alexa mounted a comeback, featuring a basement dropkick and a Natural Selection neckbreaker in homage to Charlotte. Flair got involved in the match to stop Asuka from interfering. Alexa Bliss hit the Sister Abigail on Kairi Sane for the win.
  • After the match ,Lash Legend and Nia Jax jumped Charlotte and Alexa. Lash blasted Lexi while Jax flattened Charlotte Flair with a Samoan drop. Asuka came to the aid of Kairi as Jax and Legend closed in on Sane. Jax and Legend hit an alley oop headbutt on Kairi. Legend hit a bicycle kick on Kairi Sane. Nia Jax tried to finish Kairi off with an Annihilator, but Asuka pulled her partner out of the ring. Asuka and Kairi were the de facto babyfaces by the end of this segment.

Alexa Bliss vs. Kairi Sane Match Grade: B-

Jade Cargill Def. Alba Fyre, Solo Sikoa Calls Out Bo Dallas And The Wyatts

  • Surprisingly this match started off wit hAlba Fyre firing off on Jade Cargill with strikes. Alba was actually dominating Jade until outside interference from Giulia and Kiana James.
  • Jade Cargill blasted a distracted Fyre with a Bicycle Kick, a spinebuster and Jaded for the win.
  • After this match, Solo Sikoa cut a promo on the Wyatt Sicks. Fans chanted “Solo sucks” before giving him the “what” treatment. Sikoa said they don’t deserve the name “Wyatt.” Solo, who teased challenging Ilja Dragunov for the US Title earlier, said the MFTs were coming for the tag team titles. And all they had to do was “Bo-lieve.”
  • The Wyatt sicks hit the ring as fans chanted “you f—ked up.” After a ring-clearing brawl, the dust settled with a meat-match showdown between Erick Rowan and Talla Tonga. Rowan got the better of Tonga as the MFTs held Tonga back from reentering the ring.

Jade Cargill vs. Alba Fyre Match Grade: B-

Gunther Def. LA Knight | Gunther To Face John Cena On Dec. 13 SNME

  • It was noted that Gunther has never lost a one-on-one non-title main event since he came to WWE. In a backstage promo before this match, Gunther said it’s a “foregone conclusion” that he would win. Given how heavy handed the Gunther glazing was, it felt like LA Knight was going to win. Either way, WWE did a great job creating doubt in the Last Time is Now Finals.
  • Fans furiously booed Gunther as they were strongly behind LA Knight. I think they’re as tired of Gunther getting all these imaginary brass rings as I am. Fans loudly chanted for LA Knight to begin the match as Knight opened up with a series of rights.
  • Knight went for an early BFT as Gunther slipped away to the outside. Knight didn’t let up as he immediately followed up with a baseball slide dropkick and pounded Gunther’s head against the announce table. Knight ragdolled LA Knight throughout the picture-in-picture.
  • Gunther gained the advantage after the break as the Ring General mauled LA Knight in the corner. Corey Graves talked about how “LA Knight can’t win the big one.” This further convinced me that LA Knight just might pull off the upset.
  • Knight turned the tides with a comeback. Gunther countered an O’Conner roll into a sleeper, but Knight slipped out of it. Knight followed up with an AA followed by an inverted AA (a Burning Hammer) for a nearfall.
  • Back from SmackDown’s final break, Knight went for his double-jump elbow only to eat a running dropkick. Back came Knight with a DDT. Knight successfully hit his double-jump elbow for another nearfall. Gunther went for the BFT and Gunther countered with a German suplex. The crowd groaned.
  • Gunther targeted Knight’s neck, but as he climbed the turnbuckles, Knight cut him off. The two went back-and-forth with strikes. Gunther battled Knight from the top rope while Knight was still on the mat. Knight briefly climbed to the top, but Gunther sent Knight crashing to the mat causing a whiplash. The Ring General hit a splash for a nearfall. Then a power bomb for a nearfall.
  • LA Knight countered another sleeper attempt with a BFT but Gunther barely put his foot on the rope. Gunther finally locked in the sleeper as the crowd desperately got behind Knight. Gunther rained down elbows on Knight, then locked in a cravat submission. Austin, Tx. rallied like hell behind Knight, but he ultimately tapped out. Gunther won. Eyeroll.

US SEC Chairman: Many types of cryptocurrency ICOs are not under the SEC's jurisdiction.

PANews reported on December 10th, citing The Block, that SEC Chairman Paul Atkins stated at the Blockchain Association's annual policy summit on Tuesday that many types of Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) should be considered non-securities transactions and are outside the jurisdiction of Wall Street regulators. He explained that this is precisely what the SEC wants to encourage, as these types of transactions, by their definition, do not fall under the category of securities. Atkins specifically mentioned the token taxonomy he introduced last month, which divides the crypto industry into four categories of tokens. He pointed out last month that network tokens, digital collectibles, and digital instruments should not be considered securities in themselves. On Tuesday, he further stated that ICOs involving these three types of tokens should also be considered non-securities transactions, meaning they are not subject to SEC regulation. Atkins also mentioned that, regarding initial coin offerings (ICOs), the SEC believes the only type of token it should regulate is tokenized securities, which are tokenized forms of securities already under SEC regulation and traded on-chain. He further explained that ICOs span four themes, three of which fall under the jurisdiction of the CFTC. The SEC will delegate these matters to the CFTC, while focusing on regulating tokenized securities.
