The nominations for the 83rd Annual Golden Globes will be announced on Monday. What time is the announcement and where can you watch it on free TV and streaming?
The announcement of the Golden Globe nominations marks the last big awards season announcement in December, following the unveiling of 2025 honors from such major organizations as the American Film Institute, the Gotham Awards, the Los Angeles Film Critics Association, the National Board of Review and the New York Film Critics Association.
In addition, nominations were announced for the 31st Annual Critics’ Choice Awards, as well as the 41st Annual Independent Spirit Awards.
The nominees for the 83rd Annual Golden Globes will be announced Monday by actors Marlon Wayans and Skye P. Marshall. The duo will announce Golden Globe nominations across 28 film and television categories, including a new category this year for Best Podcast.
Wayans and Marshall will begin announcing the nominees at 8:15 a.m. ET/5:15 a.m. PT on CBSNews.com and 11 exclusive categories will be announced at 8:30 a.m. ET/5:30 a.m. PT only on CBS Mornings on CBS-TV.
The announcement of the nominations will also be streamed live on CBS News’ YouTube and TikTok channels. In addition, the nominations will be posted as they are announced on the Golden Globes’ social media accounts as they are unveiled and will be listed on the Golden Globes’ website after all of the nods are unveiled.
When Will The Winners Of The 83rd Annual Golden Globes Be Announced?
Unlike the Oscars, which have five nominees for each of its categories and 10 for Best Picture, the Golden Globes will have six nominations for each category. There is one exception — for Outstanding Cinematic and Box Office Achievement — which will have eight nominees.
The 83rd Annual Golden Globes is scheduled to air live on CBS-TV on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026, from 8-11 p.m. ET/5-8 p.m. P.T. and stream live on Paramount+. Comedian Nikki Glaser will return to host the special after making her debut for the 82nd annual celebration.
Director Paul Thomas Anderson’s action comedy One Battle After Another goes into the 83rd Golden Globe nominations with Best Film honors from the Gotham Awards, the New York Film Critics Circle and the National Board of Review. Sinners, however, became a major contender on Friday with its leading 17 Critics Choice Awards nominations, while One Battle After Another scored 14 nods, followed by Frankenstein and Hamnet with 11 apiece. All four films will likely be among the major nominees for the Golden Globes on Monday.
The nominations for the 83rd Golden Globe Awards will begin at 8:15 a.m. ET/5:15 a.m. PT on CBSNews.com and 11 exclusive categories will be announced at 8:30 a.m. ET/5:30 a.m. PT only on CBS Mornings on CBS-TV and will stream live on CBS News’ YouTube and TikTok channels.
