Cathie Wood’s ARK Invest made several portfolio changes on December 9, 2025, according to the firm’s daily trade disclosures. The investment firm increased its position in the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF while reducing holdings across multiple technology and genomics companies.
Bitcoin (BTC) Price
The ARK Fintech Innovation ETF bought 5,754 shares of ARKB. The ARK Next Generation Internet ETF purchased 49,246 shares of the same ETF. The combined purchase was worth approximately $1.7 million based on ARKB’s closing price of $30.92.
Bitcoin has experienced high volatility in recent trading sessions. Early trading has frequently wiped out gains made during overnight hours. Despite the price swings, market sentiment has received support from expectations of future Federal Reserve rate cuts and improved regulatory clarity.
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission introduced a new framework that allows approved firms to use major tokens and stablecoins as margin. This regulatory development has strengthened Bitcoin’s position within traditional financial markets.
ARK Invest reduced its holdings in several companies across different sectors. The firm sold shares of Ibotta, a digital promotions and rewards platform. ARKF sold 52,047 shares while ARKW sold 47,141 shares of the company.
Iridium Communications saw further reductions from ARK’s portfolios. The satellite network operator had 23,994 shares sold from ARKK. This continued a trend of reducing exposure to the communications company.
The ARK Genomic Revolution ETF exited 90,807 shares of Adaptive Biotechnologies. This represented a complete exit from the position in the genomics-focused company.
The ARK Autonomous Technology & Robotics ETF sold 2,253 shares of Teradyne. The semiconductor testing equipment maker saw reduced exposure from the robotics-focused fund.
The trades came during a period of mixed market conditions. Tech stocks faced pressure while cryptocurrency markets remained volatile. ARK’s moves reflect an increased focus on Bitcoin exposure through the ARKB ETF while paring positions in select technology and biotechnology names.
The Bitcoin ETF purchases occurred as the cryptocurrency traded in a volatile range. Regulatory developments from the CFTC provided some support for institutional adoption of digital assets as collateral in traditional financial transactions.
