Canadian broadcaster New Tang Dynasty Television (Canada) has finalized an agreement with bestselling author and former Fox News Executive Editor John Moody, his publisher Brick Tower Press, and producers Washington Square Entertainment, Fun Republic Pictures, and Yonderland Productions to develop a scripted drama series based on Moody’s acclaimed Hui Trilogy of books. The series, currently titled Of Course They Knew…, is a geopolitical conspiracy thriller that explores the silent collapse of Western society as it falls under the influence of a covert global campaign driven by disinformation, artificial intelligence, and psychological warfare.

The project is being developed for NTD (Canada) as part of the broadcaster’s expanding slate of premium scripted drama with international appeal, in association with the Canada Media Fund. The television adaptation is being developed as a multi-season dramatic series under the working title Of Course They Knew…, with International Emmy-nominated David Cormican and Emmy-nominated Dwayne Hill attached to co-write and executive produce. Cormican will serve as showrunner alongside Hill.

‘Partnering with NTD on Of Course They Knew… allows us to bring an urgent and deeply relevant story to the screen at a time when the boundaries between information, propaganda, and power have never been more blurred,’ said David Cormican. ‘John Moody’s trilogy reads like tomorrow’s headlines, and we believe it has the scope and scale to become a truly global television event.’ The series examines how truth itself becomes the most dangerous weapon in a new kind of global conflict, told through the intertwined lives of ordinary citizens across multiple continents.

‘We are excited to collaborate with Washington Square Entertainment and this exceptional creative team to develop a series that speaks directly to the political and technological realities shaping the modern world,’ said Joe Wang, President of New Tang Dynasty Television (Canada). ‘Of Course They Knew… aligns with our commitment to telling stories that examine the forces influencing freedom, truth, and democracy on an international stage.’ Additional information about NTD can be found at https://www.ntd.com and https://www.ntd.com/canada.

Author John Moody, whose career as a journalist and editor has spanned decades of American political history, added, ‘This story was written as a warning, but it has become increasingly clear that the world is moving closer to the reality it imagines. I’m proud to be working with my agent Alan Morell at CMP and this team to bring the Hui Trilogy to television in a way that captures both its scale and its urgency.’ More information about Moody’s work is available through his publisher at https://www.bricktowerpress.com and his author site at https://johnmoodybooks.com.

Executive Producers include David Cormican and Dwayne Hill for Washington Square Entertainment, Sophia Sun for Yonderland Productions, and John Moody. Four-star General Wesley K. Clark, U.S. Army (Ret.), former Supreme Allied Commander Europe of NATO, has been engaged as a consultant on the series’ military, intelligence, and international political storylines. The development and rights agreement was negotiated by Alan Morell of Creative Management Partners on behalf of the rights holders, together with Washington Square Entertainment, Yonderland Productions, Brick Tower Press and NTD. Frank Sinatra performs on his TV special Frank Sinatra: A Man and his Music Bettmann Archive These days on the Billboard charts, Frank Sinatra’s music can always be found on the jazz-specific rankings. While the art he created when he was still working was pop at the time, and later classified as traditional pop, there is no such list for the latter format in America, and so his throwback projects and cuts appear on jazz lists instead. It’s on those charts where Sinatra rebounds this week, and one of his popular projects returns not to one, but two tallies at the same time, helping him increase the total amount of real estate he owns at the moment. Frank Sinatra’s The World We Knew Returns Sinatra’s The World We Knew is a top performer again, if only on the jazz lists. That set rebounds to No. 15 on the Traditional Jazz Albums chart and comes in at No. 20 on the all-encompassing Jazz Albums ranking after not appearing on either roster just last frame. The World We Knew’s All-Time Highs The World We Knew returns close to its all-time peak on both of those rosters. Sinatra’s classic has peaked at No. 11 on the Traditional Jazz Albums chart, just missing out on becoming another top 10 for the crooner. The set climbed all the way to No. 15 on the Jazz Albums tally and has now spent just under two months on the rosters. Frank Sinatra’s Album With Classic Hits Sinatra released The World We Knew in the summer of 1967. The title track, which on the album is actually known as “The World We Knew (Over and…
