MovitOn announced that it has completed the acquisition of Glocalzone, an Estonia-based platform focused on connecting travelers with cross-border delivery requirements. The transaction, carried out between MovitOn’s operating entity VAERTECH Solution FZCO and Glocalzone OÜ, represents a notable development in the global logistics sector by combining an established Web2 user network with an emerging Web3 infrastructure layer.
At the time of acquisition, Glocalzone reported more than 1.3 million registered users, forming what was described as a verified and organically developed ecosystem. The platform has processed over 600,000 orders, with a large base of users actively contributing travel routes across international destinations.
“This acquisition is just the catalyst we needed to disrupt the logistics models dominated by giants like DHL and FedEx,” said Erik Beken Tleubeck, founder of MovitOn in a written statement. “Building a network of this magnitude organically would have taken years of grinding, capital-intensive growth. By acquiring Glocalzone, we are inheriting a global community of human carriers ready to deploy,” he added.
The acquisition provides MovitOn with immediate access to a pre-vetted network of travelers across key markets including Turkey, Brazil, Mexico, and the United States. While Glocalzone previously operated as a centralized marketplace enabling peer-to-peer delivery arrangements, MovitOn positions itself as a “Web3 Uber for delivery,” introducing blockchain-based infrastructure to the existing model.
The integration process includes the use of blockchain-based trust mechanisms, smart contract–based escrow systems, and a native token framework. These components are intended to incorporate Glocalzone’s user base into MovitOn’s Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN) model, reducing reliance on intermediaries and aiming to lower operational friction and costs within cross-border logistics.
“The synergy between our trusted marketplace and MovitOn’s AI-powered courier-matching system is nothing short of transformative,” said Doğan Turan, co-founder of Glocalzone in a written statement.”We’ve spent years building trust among travelers and senders alike, and now, we integrate our 1.3 million users into a DePIN framework powered by smart contracts to eliminate all the pain points of today’s logistics systems. This is the moment peer-to-peer logistics truly goes mainstream and provides a secure, transparent alternative to models of the past,” he added.
According to the terms of the agreement, the acquisition includes intellectual property, source code, user databases, and brand assets. Glocalzone co-founders Doğan Turan and Burak Sõnmez are expected to remain involved in advisory roles to support continuity and preserve operational knowledge developed during the platform’s growth phase.
The integration is scheduled to begin immediately, with a phased onboarding approach focused on maintaining user experience. Existing users of Glocalzone are expected to transition into MovitOn’s AI-driven courier matching system, where factors such as route availability, scheduling, and user reputation are used to assign deliveries.
Following the transition, the platform will operate under the combined branding “Glocalzone by MovitOn,” maintaining continuity while gradually shifting toward its updated technical infrastructure. Incentive structures and loyalty mechanisms are being introduced to encourage adoption of the MVON token as part of the platform’s broader digital economy model.
The system is built on EVM-compatible smart contracts designed to hold payments in escrow until delivery is confirmed through MovitBox IoT verification terminals. This model is presented as a fully automated settlement structure intended to reduce the need for centralized dispute resolution mechanisms commonly used in traditional logistics systems.
