PETALING JAYA: Every rescued cat carries a story. Some were abandoned. Others were found injured, frightened, or simply lost.

Thanks to the dedication of independent rescuers and fosterers, they now have a second chance – and this weekend, they will be hoping to find families to call their own.

On Saturday, a community adoption drive at Fatto Catto Cat Hotel & Care Centre in Subang Jaya will bring together rescued cats and kittens from several grassroots rescue groups, while also raising awareness about responsible pet ownership and the work that goes into caring for vulnerable animals.

“For us, every adoption drive is about hope. Hope for the cats waiting patiently for a family, and hope for the rescuers who’ve dedicated so much time and love to giving them a second chance,” said Fatto Catto co-founder Jehan Hamid.

“We’ve always believed that rescue is a community effort. Whether someone adopts, volunteers, fosters, or simply learns more about responsible pet ownership, every small act of support helps create a better future for these cats. That’s what makes every adoption drive worthwhile.”

Here are just some of the furry faces hoping to find a forever home on Saturday:

Shell (male, 2+ years)

Found at a Shell petrol station in SS19, Shell is as gentle as his name suggests. Rescuers believe he was once someone’s pet as he is far too docile for life on the streets.

While he gets along well with kittens, this handsome fellow prefers not to share the spotlight with other adult cats.

Zeppelin (male, 2 years)

Zeppelin wandered into the rescue looking completely lost. Originally destined for a trap-neuter-release programme, he quickly won everyone over by “making air biscuits” – the affectionate kneading motion happy cats make.

Loving, playful and occasionally prone to hilarious zoomies, he’s more than ready for a family of his own.

Miyo (female, 8 months)

Tiny but determined, Miyo was found crying for help near the busy road outside 1 Utama shopping centre, trapped between a roadside barrier and a monsoon drain. Rescuers from Ruff Love managed to pull her to safety just in time.

Today, she’s a playful young cat looking for a much happier ending.

Come and meet sweet little Stellar, who was rescued with her brother, and the dignified Thomas O’Malley, the oldest foster cat at the event. (Fatto Catto pics)

Stellar & Sky (female and male, 3 months)

Stellar was rescued together with her brother, Sky, and their mother from the porch of a home. Their mother has since been spayed, but unless the kittens are adopted, they may have to be released back with her – leaving their future uncertain.

A loving home would mean Stellar and Sky never have to experience life on the streets.

Thomas O’Malley (male, 7.5 years)

The oldest foster cat at the event, Thomas O’Malley was recently found lying weak and almost lifeless by the roadside. Suffering from anaemia and swollen kidneys, he has slowly regained his strength through dedicated care.

Gentle and dignified, rescuers believe he may have once belonged to someone before finding himself alone. Now, this distinguished gentleman simply deserves a comfortable home to spend his golden years.

Plus, a bonus kitty

Visitors will also get to meet Jane, one of Fatto Catto’s own resident cats. She was discovered outside the premises while renovation works were underway, her back leg so badly shattered that it required surgery and a stainless-steel pin.

Today, Jane is thriving – a living reminder of how rescue, rehabilitation and compassion can completely transform an animal’s life.

While finding homes remains the day’s biggest goal, Fatto Catto also hopes visitors leave with a better understanding of the work that goes on behind the scenes.

Independent rescuers and fosterers often spend their own time and money nursing abandoned cats back to health, preparing them physically and emotionally for adoption.

The event will further highlight the importance of proper nutrition in helping rescued cats recover and thrive. Visitors can learn about prescription diets formulated to support cats recovering from illness or living with medical conditions.

Whether you’re ready to adopt, interested in fostering, or simply are curious about rescue work, the organisers hope you’ll leave with a greater appreciation for those who are giving abandoned cats a second chance at a happy life.

One Of Frank Sinatra’s Most Famous Albums Is Back In The Spotlight

The post One Of Frank Sinatra’s Most Famous Albums Is Back In The Spotlight appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Frank Sinatra’s The World We Knew returns to the Jazz Albums and Traditional Jazz Albums charts, showing continued demand for his timeless music. Frank Sinatra performs on his TV special Frank Sinatra: A Man and his Music Bettmann Archive These days on the Billboard charts, Frank Sinatra’s music can always be found on the jazz-specific rankings. While the art he created when he was still working was pop at the time, and later classified as traditional pop, there is no such list for the latter format in America, and so his throwback projects and cuts appear on jazz lists instead. It’s on those charts where Sinatra rebounds this week, and one of his popular projects returns not to one, but two tallies at the same time, helping him increase the total amount of real estate he owns at the moment. Frank Sinatra’s The World We Knew Returns Sinatra’s The World We Knew is a top performer again, if only on the jazz lists. That set rebounds to No. 15 on the Traditional Jazz Albums chart and comes in at No. 20 on the all-encompassing Jazz Albums ranking after not appearing on either roster just last frame. The World We Knew’s All-Time Highs The World We Knew returns close to its all-time peak on both of those rosters. Sinatra’s classic has peaked at No. 11 on the Traditional Jazz Albums chart, just missing out on becoming another top 10 for the crooner. The set climbed all the way to No. 15 on the Jazz Albums tally and has now spent just under two months on the rosters. Frank Sinatra’s Album With Classic Hits Sinatra released The World We Knew in the summer of 1967. The title track, which on the album is actually known as “The World We Knew (Over and…
