The global crypto sector is going through a slight recovery, as the latest 24-hour data indicates. Hence, the total crypto market capitalization has hit the $2.31T mark after a 0.58% increase. In addition to this, the 24-hour crypto volume has jumped by a notable 42.79%, reaching $83.2B. At the same time, the Crypto Fear & Greed Index currently stands at 19 points, showing “Extreme Fear” among the market participants.

Bitcoin ($BTC) Surges by 0.59% and Ethereum ($ETH) Sees 2.07% Increase

Particularly, the flagship cryptocurrency, Bitcoin ($BTC), is now changing hands at $67,566.99. This price level highlights a 0.59% increase over the past 24 hours. Additionally, the market dominance of $BTC accounts for 58.3%. Along with that, the leading altcoin, Ethereum ($ETH), is now trading at $1,991.19, highlighting a 2.07% increase. In the meantime, $ETH’s market dominance sits at 10.4%.

$BPX, $PENGU, and $TSLA Lead Crypto Gainers of Day

Apart from that, the list of top crypto gainers of the day includes Black Phoenix ($BPX), PENGU AI ($PENGU), and Tesla ($TSLA). Specifically, $BPX has surged by a staggering 3640.24%, reaching the $0.1679 mark. Following that, $PENGU’s price is hovering around $0.002971 after a 1478.26% spike. Subsequently, a 1248.82% increase has placed $TSLA’s price at $110.02.

DeFi TVL Drops by 0.28% While NFT Sales Volume Records 7.10% Rise

Simultaneously, the DeFi TVL has experienced a 0.28% decrease, touching the $95.607B mark. However, the top DeFi project in terms of TVL, Aave, is 0.09% up at $26.581B. However, when it comes to 1-day TVL change, Common leads the DeFi landscape with a stunning 18473% jump over the past twenty-four hours.

In the same vein, the NFT sales volume has gone through a 7.10% increase to touch the $4,698,735 mark. Additionally, the top-selling NFT collection, “0xbb4…ca16f,” has climbed by 95.71% to reach $407,962.

She acknowledged the jobs data, which suggested that the labor market is weakening. However, she noted that this data is backward-looking, indicating that it doesn’t show the current state of the economy. She alluded to the wage growth, which she remarked is an indication of a robust labor market. She added that retail sales are up and that consumers are still spending, despite inflation being sticky at 3%, which makes a case for why the FOMC should opt against a 50-basis-point Fed rate cut. In line with this, the Franklin Templeton CEO said that she would go with a 25 bps rate cut if she were Jerome Powell. She remarked that the Fed still has the October and December FOMC meetings to make further cuts if the incoming data warrants it. Johnson also asserted that the data show a robust economy. However, she noted that there can’t be an argument for no Fed rate cut since Powell already signaled at Jackson Hole that they were likely to lower interest rates at this meeting due to concerns over a weakening labor market.
