A fresh White House confirmation has removed the main uncertainty around the next $TRUMP memecoin gala: Donald Trump is now set to address token holders at Mar-a-Lago on April 25. 

The update first gained traction through an X post from Scott Melker, who wrote that the White House had confirmed Trump would address $TRUMP memecoin holders at the Mar-a-Lago gala on April 25. 

The event is structured around token ownership. Access is limited to the top 297 holders of the $TRUMP token, and the top 29 holders qualify for a private reception with Trump in addition to the larger gathering. Organizers previously tied eligibility to holder rankings, making the event directly linked to token accumulation. 

White House Confirmation Removes Earlier Uncertainty

Trump’s attendance had remained uncertain before the latest update. Earlier event language stated that he might not be able to attend and that the event could be canceled for any reason. That caveat had become a focal point in recent coverage, especially after questions emerged over whether the gala was firmly on the president’s schedule. 

However, the White House confirmation changes that. Sources reported that Trump is scheduled to deliver remarks at the event on Saturday, giving the gala a firmer official status than it had earlier in the month. That shift matters for the market around the token and for the political scrutiny surrounding the event itself. 

Lawmakers Renew Conflict-of-Interest Criticism

Trump’s planned appearance has also drawn renewed criticism from Democratic lawmakers. Senators Elizabeth Warren, Richard Blumenthal, and Adam Schiff sent a letter to Bill Zanker, the individual tied to the $TRUMP memecoin, questioning whether Trump intended to “dangle access” to himself at the upcoming event. 

The letter said, “Organizers are promoting a conference by dangling access to President Trump to potential attendees (and in doing so, are encouraging purchases of his meme coin that will generate transaction fees for the President and his family) on a day he may not actually be able to attend.” The White House confirmation does not remove those concerns. However, it does eliminate the narrower question of whether Trump will appear at all. 

Second Holder Event Keeps $TRUMP Under Scrutiny

This is the second event built around $TRUMP holders. The first took place at a Trump golf club in May 2025 and drew criticism from lawmakers and watchdog groups who argued that Trump was using his position as president for personal financial gain. Sources say investors spent about $148 million on the token to secure attendance at that earlier dinner. 

Notably, the new event keeps the same core structure: token ownership determines access, and the highest-ranked wallets receive extra proximity to Trump. On one hand, organizers are presenting the gala as a crypto-linked gathering for top holders. On the other hand, critics are treating it as another case where political access and token economics are intersecting too directly.
