MANILA, Philippines – With a vote of 257-25-9, the House of Representatives impeached Vice President Sara Duterte on Monday, May 11.

Duterte, who faced impeachment complaints due to alleged misuse of funds and threats to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and his family, became the first Philippine official to be impeached twice.
