Mantle (MNT), a Layer-2 scaling solution, today announced an important strategic collaboration with LayerZero, a prominent multi-chain composability platform. On its synergy with LayerZero, Mantle seeks to redefine how its flagship token, MNT, interacts with other chains, making it seamless for customers and builders to transfer assets and data across various chains.

Mantle is an EVM-layer-2 scaling network that operates to combine DeFi with TradFi and make applications more rapid, affordable, and efficient for clients and builders. On the other hand, LayerZero is a leading interoperability network that allows DApps to move assets across various blockchains.    

LayerZero Helps Mantle to Interact With Other Chains

The core of this alliance involves the integration of LayerZero’s omnichain interoperability infrastructure into Mantle’s Layer-2 network to enhance Mantle’s cross-chain operations and unlock liquidity for its MNT across DeFi. This coalition introduces a multi-chain liquidity layer on Mantle, powered by LayerZero’s innovative messaging layer.

This integration now enables Mantle’s native token, MTN, to be accessed across both EVM and non-EVM blockchains, utilizing LayerZero’s OFT (Omnichain Fungible Token) Standard. This implies that MNT clients and builders now have a seamless approach to connect to other chains, starting with HyperEVM, including leading networks such as Ethereum, BNB, and many others. Over time, the collaboration will broaden its accessibility to multiple chains, making Mantle one of the most interoperable protocols in the globe.

This alliance will significantly benefit developers working on the Mantle network. The integration now enables them to deploy assets on Mantle from any of LayerZero’s supported blockchains using just one click. This saves time, minimizes costs, and makes it more efficient for builders to develop applications that function across various chains.
