Digital Transformation & Innovation in Insurance: A Leadership-Led View of What’s Working

Digital transformation was once an abstract term. Today, it shows up in board discussions, investment decisions and day-to-day operational trade-offs — often with long-term consequences for how insurance organisations perform, scale and serve customers.

What many leaders are looking for now is perspective: how peers in similar organisations are approaching the same decisions, what is working in practice, and where initiatives are failing to gain traction.

To meet that need, the team at Global Insight Conferences has introduced a new addition to its financial services portfolio: the Digital Transformation & Innovation in Insurance Conference.

Hosted at the Cavendish Conference Centre on 5 March 2026, the one-day event brings together senior insurance professionals to share how digital transformation is being delivered inside established businesses — and how momentum is being maintained as expectations continue to rise.

A conference shaped around real decisions, not theory

Rather than focusing on technology trends in isolation, the conference is built around the decisions insurance leaders are actively making today. These include how to modernise legacy environments, where to prioritise investment, and how to align digital programmes with wider business objectives.

The speaker line-up reflects this senior, practitioner-led focus, with leaders from organisations including Allianz, AXA Partners, Hiscox, Swiss Re, Aon, Admiral Group, Lloyds Banking Group, Generali Investments, Legal & General and Citi.

Discussion centres on how digital transformation decisions are being made inside live, regulated environments — balancing innovation with operational resilience, governance and customer trust.

Modernising legacy systems while keeping the business moving

A recurring challenge across the insurance sector is how to modernise complex legacy systems without disrupting core operations. Sessions throughout the day explore how organisations are approaching this pragmatically, improving integration, reducing complexity and creating platforms that support future change.

As data, automation and AI become more embedded across insurance operations, the agenda also examines how governance, security and compliance are evolving alongside them. The emphasis is on progress that is controlled, transparent and sustainable over the long term.

People, culture and customer outcomes

Technology alone does not deliver successful transformation. The conference also explores the organisational side of change, including how leaders are maintaining momentum across multi-year programmes and keeping teams aligned as operating models evolve.

Customer experience features throughout the day, with a focus on how insurers are designing end-to-end journeys that balance efficiency with empathy, and how insight is being used to drive meaningful service improvement.

A practical forum for insurance decision-makers

Developed by Global Insight Conferences, the Digital Transformation & Innovation in Insurance Conference is designed as a practical forum for insurance leaders who want to compare approaches, share experience and leave with a clearer perspective.

Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC

The post Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson has weighed in on whether the Federal Reserve should make a 25 basis points (bps) Fed rate cut or 50 bps cut. This comes ahead of the Fed decision today at today’s FOMC meeting, with the market pricing in a 25 bps cut. Bitcoin and the broader crypto market are currently trading flat ahead of the rate cut decision. Franklin Templeton CEO Weighs In On Potential FOMC Decision In a CNBC interview, Jenny Johnson said that she expects the Fed to make a 25 bps cut today instead of a 50 bps cut. She acknowledged the jobs data, which suggested that the labor market is weakening. However, she noted that this data is backward-looking, indicating that it doesn’t show the current state of the economy. She alluded to the wage growth, which she remarked is an indication of a robust labor market. She added that retail sales are up and that consumers are still spending, despite inflation being sticky at 3%, which makes a case for why the FOMC should opt against a 50-basis-point Fed rate cut. In line with this, the Franklin Templeton CEO said that she would go with a 25 bps rate cut if she were Jerome Powell. She remarked that the Fed still has the October and December FOMC meetings to make further cuts if the incoming data warrants it. Johnson also asserted that the data show a robust economy. However, she noted that there can’t be an argument for no Fed rate cut since Powell already signaled at Jackson Hole that they were likely to lower interest rates at this meeting due to concerns over a weakening labor market. Notably, her comment comes as experts argue for both sides on why the Fed should make a 25 bps cut or…
