In notices dated August 2021 and October 2022, HTX published daily withdrawal limits of 0.06 BTC for an account with no verification level, 5 BTC at L1, and 200 BTC at both L2 and L3.
Institutional accounts sit at 1,000 BTC.
The limit is a single 24-hour cumulative allowance across every asset, priced in BTC, and it refreshes daily at 16:00 UTC.

Key takeaways
  • HTX's published limits are 0.06 BTC with no verification level, 5 BTC at L1, 200 BTC at L2 and L3, and 1,000 BTC for institutional accounts.
  • The allowance is one 24-hour pot priced in BTC, so an altcoin exit spends the same limit as a BTC exit.
  • The allowance resets at 16:00 UTC, and HTX can reduce an individual limit under risk control.
  • HTX publishes a withdrawal clock for USD only, and we could not find a published time band for crypto statuses.
  • Four of the five common blockers are checkable before you submit, and the cancel window closes when you confirm by email or SMS.
  • EU operators have been barred from transacting with the listed HTX entity since 23 August 2026, with a three-month window to apply for authorisation to withdraw.

What is HTX's daily withdrawal limit?

HTX sets the limit by verification level, and its most recent notice, effective 14 October 2022, lists 5 BTC per 24 hours at L1 and 200 BTC at both L2 and L3.
Institutional Basic and Advanced accounts were raised to 1,000 BTC in the same notice.
An earlier notice capped accounts with no verification level at 0.06 BTC a day.

Three mechanics turn those headline numbers into the allowance you actually have.
Since February 2021 the cap has been a 24-hour cumulative total across all currencies, converted into BTC at the time of calculation, rather than a separate allowance per coin.
The daily allowance refreshes at 16:00 UTC, which matters if you are planning a large exit across two days.
HTX also states that it can reduce an individual limit when trading behaviour triggers risk control under its user agreement, so the published figure is a ceiling rather than a guarantee.

How Long Does an HTX Withdrawal Take? Three Stages, One Clock

Every crypto withdrawal runs through three stages, and only the first belongs to the exchange.
The platform reviews and broadcasts, the network includes the transaction in a block and confirms it, and the receiving platform credits the balance after its own confirmation count.
For HTX we found a published clock covering fiat only: a USD withdrawal needs manual review and completes within one hour of being initiated, after which bank settlement time applies.
For crypto withdrawals we could not find an HTX page that publishes a time band per status.
That absence is the answer to give, rather than a number borrowed from a review site.

How to Time Your Own HTX Withdrawal in Four Timestamps

Four timestamps give you a number you can defend.
Record T0 when you press submit, T1 when the transaction ID appears in your withdrawal history, T2 when the explorer shows the first confirmation, and T3 when the destination platform credits the balance.
T1 minus T0 is the platform, T2 minus T1 is the chain, and T3 minus T2 is the receiving side.
Run it three times with the same asset, the same network and the same time of day, then report the range rather than your fastest attempt.
Two controls make the result meaningful.
Use a fixed amount, because a larger withdrawal is more likely to pick up a manual review, and note whether the address was already on your whitelist.

Why Is My HTX Withdrawal Pending? Five Things That Stop It

Five causes account for most stuck withdrawals, and four of them are settled before you press submit.
The first is a missing or mistyped memo or tag, and on MEXC the address confirmation step asks for the last four characters of the public address rather than of the memo.
The second is the network: choosing a chain the destination does not support, or sending to an address that has not been activated for that token, which applies to networks such as XRP and HBAR where the receiving address needs a minimum reserve first.
Third is the withdrawal address whitelist.
HTX applies a waiting period to any newly added whitelist address before it can be used, and shortening that period requires administrator review that can take from minutes to several days.
Fourth is the withdrawal channel for the asset being closed, which looks identical to a stuck request from the user's side.
Fifth is risk control, which is the platform's call rather than yours.

How do you raise your HTX withdrawal limit?

HTX publishes a request route rather than an automatic upgrade.
Inside the app or site you open Support, then User Self Service, then Withdrawal Limit, and submit a ticket, with a stated response within 24 hours and progress visible under Ticket Status.
Users who cannot log in are directed to email from the address registered to the account.
Expect the review to ask for more than a form.
HTX states that it may request video verification or proof of the source of your funds, and that submissions have to arrive within the timeframe it specifies.

Can you still withdraw from HTX in the EU?

This is the most time-sensitive question on the page.
The measure is a transaction ban rather than an asset freeze, and reporting by The Block notes that eligible EU, EEA and Swiss nationals and residents may apply for authorisation to withdraw funds or close accounts within three months of the ban taking effect.
No verification level and no limit increase changes that, because the restriction attaches to the platform and your jurisdiction.
We are not the way out of it either.
MEXC is not authorised under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets framework and appears on ESMA's register of non-compliant entities following the Dutch AFM decision of September 2025, so EEA readers should move to a platform authorised in their own jurisdiction.
MEXC is also leaving the Netherlands, with offboarding running to 31 October 2026 and final offboarding on 16 November 2026.
Readers in the United Kingdom and the United States should treat this page as reference only and use a venue licensed where they live.

How does this compare with MEXC?

On limits, our answer is the same shape as HTX's: the ceiling depends on your verification level and your region, and your own account page is the figure to trust.
On timing, the disclosure is different.
MEXC withdrawal status

Usually 1 to 3 minutes

Waiting for system processing

Two published thresholds are worth writing down before you need them.
If no transaction ID has appeared within an hour, MEXC's withdrawal statuses page tells you to contact customer service with a screenshot of the withdrawal record rather than keep waiting.
If a withdrawal is returned by the receiving platform, the recovery route is an application form, and MEXC's withdrawal statuses page states manual credit within one to two business days.
The cancel window is the part most people learn too late.
A withdrawal can be cancelled by you while it sits at Pending Verification, Under Review or Pending Processing, needs customer service once it reaches Processing, and cannot be cancelled at all once it is awaiting blockchain confirmation.
Outside the EEA, the UK and the United States, both the status list and the escalation thresholds above are published before you fund anything.

The MEXC View

We compete with HTX, so treat this as an interested party's reading of the evidence.
HTX's published limits are higher than most readers will ever need, and at L1 they are reachable without uploading a document, which is a genuine convenience we do not match.
Its whitelist design is also stricter than a casual user expects, and strictness there is a security feature rather than a flaw.
Where we think the gap is real is documentation age and status disclosure.
The newest HTX withdrawal-limit notice we could find dates from October 2022, and we could not find a published time band for crypto withdrawal statuses.
My own read, after mapping both platforms' published withdrawal steps for this series: the cap is rarely the problem, and not knowing which stage the money is in usually is.
A status table with a published time band answers that question at three in the morning, which is exactly when it gets asked.
For the fee side of the same decision, see our comparison of which exchange has the lowest withdrawal fees, and for how we check any of this, our review methodology.
We also maintain an incident database covering 81 exchange breaches and a comparison of which exchanges publish proof of reserves, both of which matter more than a daily cap if you are deciding where to leave a balance.
If the answer is that you want a different venue, our roundup of HTX alternatives compared on fees and reserves covers the field, and the platform-level view sits in our MEXC vs HTX comparison.

Frequently asked questions

What is HTX's daily withdrawal limit?
HTX's published limits are 5 BTC per 24 hours at L1 and 200 BTC at L2 and L3, with institutional accounts at 1,000 BTC.
Accounts with no verification level were capped at 0.06 BTC.

Is the HTX limit per coin or across all assets?
It is a single 24-hour cumulative allowance across all currencies, converted into BTC at the time of calculation.
Withdrawing an altcoin spends the same allowance as withdrawing BTC.

When does the HTX withdrawal limit reset?
The daily allowance refreshes at 16:00 UTC.
Plan a large exit around that reset rather than assuming a midnight rollover in your own timezone.

How long should a crypto withdrawal take?
The platform stage is usually minutes, and MEXC publishes 5 to 60 minutes for manual review.
The blockchain stage depends on the network and nobody can publish a guaranteed figure for it.

Why is my withdrawal still pending?
Check the memo or tag, the network, whether the address is still inside its whitelist waiting period, and whether the asset's withdrawal channel is open.

Can EU users still withdraw from HTX?
EU operators have been barred from transacting with the listed HTX entity since 23 August 2026.
Eligible EU, EEA and Swiss residents may apply for authorisation to withdraw within three months of that date.

Risk and compliance note

Withdrawal limits, statuses and processing times change without notice, and every figure here was read from official notices and help centre pages on 10 September 2026.
Your own account page and withdrawal screen are the authority for the limit and fee applied to you.
Nothing here is advice on moving funds in breach of any sanctions measure, and readers in restricted jurisdictions should seek their own authorisation route through the relevant national authority.
MEXC is not authorised under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets framework, appears on ESMA's register of non-compliant entities, and is not available to US persons.
Nothing here is investment advice, and platform availability depends on your country of residence and verification status.
