KuCoin Withdrawal Limit 2026: Your Ceiling Is Not a Number, It Is Your VIP Level

A verified individual KuCoin account has a 24 hour crypto withdrawal ceiling set by VIP level, starting at 1,000,000 USDT at VIP 0 and reaching 60,000,000 USDT at VIP 12.
Unverified accounts have no published figure, and requests normally clear the Pending stage within about 30 minutes.

Key Takeaways
  • The verified withdrawal ceiling is denominated in USDT and set by VIP level, from 1,000,000 USDT at VIP 0 to 60,000,000 USDT at VIP 12.
  • Verification alone puts you on the bottom rung, and climbing needs trading volume or KCS rather than more paperwork.
  • KuCoin publishes no unverified ceiling and points you to the limit shown on your own withdrawal page.
  • The 1 BTC and 2 BTC figures still circulating come from KuCoin announcements dated 2021 and 2018 that are still online.
  • Fiat withdrawals cap separately at 150,000 USDT per day for individuals and 500,000 USDT for institutional accounts.
  • Every coin and network has a minimum withdrawal set at exactly twice its fee, so a minimum-sized transfer loses half to the fee.

Why three different withdrawal limits are circulating

Search this question and you will be told the answer is 1 BTC, or 2 BTC, or 200 BTC, or 999,999 USDT, depending on which page you land on.
All four numbers have a real source, and none of them matches the table KuCoin's VIP page publishes today.
The 999,999 USDT figure survives in the page description of KuCoin's verification guide, while the table that page points to is set by VIP level.
The confusion is structural rather than careless.
KuCoin's withdrawal ceiling lives in a table on its VIP page that loads in the browser, while the older announcements that set BTC-denominated limits are still published and still indexed.
So a writer checking the obvious sources finds a clean, quotable number from 2021 and never sees the ladder that replaced it.
Everything below is read from KuCoin's VIP Levels and Fees page, its identity verification guide and its withdrawal status article on 10 September 2026, with the older announcements quoted by their own dates.

KuCoin withdrawal limits by verification status

There are three answers, and which one applies to you is decided before any number is involved.
For unverified accounts, KuCoin's verification guide states that the 24 hour withdrawal limit is determined by the limit shown on the withdrawal page itself.
That is the whole disclosure, and it means any specific unverified figure you read elsewhere is someone's inference.
For verified individual accounts, the ceiling comes from the VIP table.

The ladder matters less than where you sit on it.
VIP 1 starts at 1,000 KCS held or 1,000,000 USDT of 30 day spot volume, with futures volume and net borrowing listed as alternative routes, so a trader moving a few thousand dollars a month stays at VIP 0 and keeps the 1,000,000 USDT ceiling indefinitely.
For almost every retail account, then, the practical answer to this question is one million USDT per 24 hours, and verification is what unlocks it.

The numbers still being quoted, and where they came from

The circulating figures are not invented, they are expired.
KuCoin's announcement dated 1 November 2018 set a 24 hour withdrawal limit of 2 BTC for non-verified accounts, 100 BTC for verified individuals and 500 BTC for verified institutional accounts.
Its announcement dated 13 October 2021 adjusted the non-verified daily limit to 1 BTC and described verified limits of up to 200 BTC, noting that limits refresh on a rolling 24 hour basis.
Both pages are still live, which is why guides published in 2026 still quote BTC figures for a platform that now publishes USDT ceilings by VIP tier.
KuCoin described that window as rolling in the 2021 note, while its 2018 note described a fixed daily window from 00:00 to 23:59 UTC+8, and neither description is restated on the current pages.

KuCoin Fiat Withdrawal Limits Are Separate

Fiat rails run on their own ceilings rather than the VIP ladder.

These are calculated in USDT equivalent so that one ceiling can cover several currencies, and fiat withdrawal is unavailable on an unverified account entirely.

How long a KuCoin withdrawal takes

KuCoin publishes timings for its withdrawal statuses, and the numbers are worth knowing before you open a ticket.
A request in Pending is normally processed within about 30 minutes.
A request in Processing is at the broadcast stage and can take 2 to 3 hours.
After that, arrival depends on the network you chose rather than on KuCoin, since confirmations are counted by the chain and by the receiving platform.
The practical read is that nothing has gone wrong until you are past three hours on a status that has not changed.

Five reasons a withdrawal has not arrived

The amount is below the minimum.
Every coin and network pair has its own minimum, and KuCoin sets it at twice the withdrawal fee.
The network does not match the destination.
The same token is listed on several networks, and sending on a chain the receiving wallet or exchange does not support is the most expensive mistake available here.
A memo or tag was left out.
Chains that use a memo or tag will not credit a deposit without one, and recovery depends entirely on the receiving platform.
You are still inside the normal window.
Pending clears in around 30 minutes and Processing can run for 2 to 3 hours, so most stuck withdrawals are not stuck.
The rolling ceiling is already used.
Check whether your allowance has actually reset, because KuCoin's 2021 note described the 24 hour window as rolling rather than resetting at midnight.

The fee is half of the smallest withdrawal you are allowed

The withdrawal fee table on KuCoin's VIP page runs to 121 pages of coin and network combinations, and it contains a rule that nobody seems to have written down.
On all ten rows checked on the first page, the minimum withdrawal is exactly twice the fee.

Withdraw the smallest amount KuCoin permits and half of it goes to the fee.
The same table also shows that the network you pick moves the fee far more than the limit ever will: CRO costs 26 tokens on ERC20 against 6 on KCC, and MTV costs 14,000 on ERC20 against 597.3833 on BEP20.
Our breakdown of withdrawal fees by route across platforms runs the same comparison on stablecoin transfers, and our pricing of the same 500 dollar swap on eight platforms covers the cheaper alternative when you are only moving value between chains.

The pain point here is not the size of the ceiling, it is what you have to do to move it.
On KuCoin the withdrawal ceiling is bundled into the VIP programme, so raising it means trading more or holding the exchange token, and a small account cannot buy its way past VIP 0 with paperwork.
MEXC ties the ceiling to verification instead: on official figures, Primary verification clears 80 BTC of crypto withdrawals per day, Advanced clears 200 BTC per day and institutional verification clears 400 BTC per 24 hours, and MEXC publishes no volume threshold for any of the three tiers.
Put a real account through both systems and the difference is visible immediately.
A trader moving 50,000 USD a month sits at VIP 0 on KuCoin for as long as that volume holds, because VIP 1 needs twenty times that monthly volume or 1,000 KCS bought and held, while the same trader reaches MEXC's top individual tier by completing the second verification step.
Two honest boundaries belong in this comparison.
MEXC does not publish an unverified withdrawal figure either, and its help center states that services including withdrawals may be affected where verification is incomplete, depending on regional requirements.
The two ceilings are also denominated differently, one in USDT and one in BTC, so any side-by-side table that presents them as directly comparable numbers is hiding a price assumption.

Where regional status changes what you can withdraw

Two 2026 decisions matter more to withdrawals than any limit table, because they decide whether the account stays open.
In the United States, a federal court in the Southern District of New York entered a consent order announced by the CFTC on 30 March 2026 permanently barring KuCoin's operator from allowing US participants to trade unless it registers as a foreign board of trade, after a guilty plea in January 2025 and penalties above 297 million USD.
US residents should be moving assets to a platform licensed in the United States rather than optimising a withdrawal route.
In the European Economic Area, Austria's Financial Market Authority lifted its new-business ban on KuCoin's EU entity on 18 May 2026 while stating that commencing business operations remains inadmissible.
MEXC is not the alternative there, and we would rather say so: MEXC appears on ESMA's register of non-compliant entities following the Dutch AFM decision, and MEXC is winding down service in the Netherlands with an offboarding deadline of 31 October and final offboarding on 16 November 2026.
If a platform is winding down in your country, the withdrawal question becomes a deadline question, and the deadline is the one published by the platform.

The MEXC View

Disclosure: MEXC publishes this article, competes with KuCoin, and quotes its own limits above.
Every KuCoin figure here is attributed to a KuCoin page or announcement with its date, including the old ones we argue against.
Credit where it is earned.
KuCoin publishes withdrawal status timings, a per-coin fee and minimum table covering every network, and a verification guide that states plainly when a limit comes from your own withdrawal screen rather than a table, and all three are disclosures worth having.
Our disagreement is about where the ceiling should sit.
Bundling withdrawal limits into a VIP programme means the trader with the least volume gets the lowest ceiling, which is backwards from how risk actually works, and it is why MEXC sets the limit by verification tier instead.
We would also rather leave a blank than fill it: neither platform publishes an unverified ceiling, and inventing one for a comparison table would make this page wrong in exactly the way the 1 BTC figure is wrong.
You can read how we verify and compare exchanges, our roundup of KuCoin alternatives ranked by tracked coin count, and our checks on which exchanges publish proof of reserves before deciding where to hold anything.

Frequently asked questions

What is the KuCoin withdrawal limit?
A verified individual account starts at 1,000,000 USDT per 24 hours at VIP 0 and rises to 60,000,000 USDT at VIP 12.
The limit is set by VIP level, not by a single figure.

Can I withdraw from KuCoin without KYC?
Legacy unverified accounts retain withdrawal access, and KuCoin publishes no fixed ceiling for them.
The limit shown on your own withdrawal page is the only reliable figure.

Is the KuCoin withdrawal limit 1 BTC?
No, that figure comes from a KuCoin announcement dated 13 October 2021 that is still online.
Current pages publish USDT ceilings by VIP level instead.

How long does a KuCoin withdrawal take?
Pending requests are normally processed within about 30 minutes, and Processing can take 2 to 3 hours.
Arrival after that depends on network confirmations.

Why is my KuCoin withdrawal still pending?
Most often it is inside the normal window, below the minimum, or waiting on the rolling 24 hour allowance.
Check the amount and the network before contacting support.

What is the minimum withdrawal on KuCoin?
It differs by coin and network, and on every row checked it equals exactly twice the withdrawal fee.
Check the withdrawal fees tab for your specific route.

Does KuCoin have a fiat withdrawal limit?
Yes, 150,000 USDT equivalent per day for individual users and 500,000 USDT for institutional accounts.
Fiat withdrawal requires a verified account.

Risk and compliance notice

Limits, fees and processing times change without notice, and every figure here carries the date it was read from an official page.
Confirm the ceiling and the minimum on your own withdrawal screen before moving a large balance.
Sending on the wrong network or omitting a required memo can result in permanent loss, and recovery is never guaranteed.
Platform availability depends on your country of residence, and this article is information rather than financial advice.
