The Ethereum merge upgrade has been completed. MEXC has taken snapshots of users' ETH assets at the ETH mainnet block height of 15,540,293 (2022-09-15 06:43) and distributed ETHW to users based on the snapshot result.
ETHW will be distributed twice. The first distribution has been finished at 2022-09-15 11:00 (UTC), and the rest will be finished at 2022-09-15 16:55 (UTC). Users can login and visit [Assets] >[D/W History] > [Other record] to check ETHW airdrops.
For users who have exchanged ETH with ETHS and ETHW on MEXC before the upgrade, MEXC will not distribute ETHW to them again. Based on the current market status, ETHW held by users before the upgrade on MEXC will be converted into the upgraded ETHW airdropped.
MEXC will also support other PoW chains resulting from the fork if any, and fully respect the community's opinions on token naming. MEXC will adapt the token's name to the final community consensus and re-enable the token's deposits and withdrawals in due course.
The arrangement on ETHS will be announced in a separate announcement.

As there are still uncertainties in the hard fork of Ethereum, trading or investing in "potential forked" tokens bears high risks. This potential fork may not last due to insufficient hashrate or a possible lack of support from developers or community members, which will cause the tokens to lose all value or be delisted from MEXC.
