According to Odaily Planet Daily, StarkWare researchers have verified a quantum-safe Bitcoin scheme known as QSB on the Bitcoin mainnet without requiring a soft fork, new opcodes, or changes to consensus rules. The first QSB output was spent on August 26, 2026, in block 964,199, while the related GPU computation cost has fallen from about $320 to around $50. However, each transaction still requires substantial computation, and moving assets into the scheme still depends on conventional transactions that may face quantum-related risks. Supporting wallets, address formats, and recovery procedures are also unavailable, so the mechanism currently remains an emergency research solution.
According to Odaily Planet Daily, Juan Curutchet, head of financial and foreign-exchange institution regulation at the Central Bank of Argentina, said the country will not move to integrate cryptocurrencies and digital assets into banking and payment channels over the next two years. The 2022 ban on crypto services by financial institutions will remain in force. Any future adjustment will depend on domestic economic conditions. Meanwhile, Argentine banking groups continue exploring institutional stablecoin projects through separate entities for programmable money, treasury management, and on-chain payments. Crypto transaction value in Argentina exceeded $88.5 billion in the 12 months through June 30.

FastNEAR co-founders Evgeny Kuzyakov and Mike Purvis will also join the SVRN team. FastNEAR is a high-performance RPC infrastructure provider for the NEAR ecosystem, supporting network read and write operations, complete transaction-history archives, and the NEARDATA historical data feed used by developers. The acquisition expands SVRN further into NEAR’s underlying data and infrastructure layer.
According to Odaily Planet Daily, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission released its securities industry financial review, showing that net profit across Hong Kong’s securities industry rose 21% to HK$51.7 billion in the first half of 2026. Combined net commission and interest income from securities, futures and options, leveraged foreign exchange, and virtual asset trading reached HK$45.4 billion, up 13% from the second half of 2025. Virtual asset trading commission revenue, however, fell to HK$99.3 million from HK$114.8 million, a decline of HK$15.5 million or 13.5%, indicating weaker virtual asset commission performance despite broader industry profit growth.
According to Cointelegraph, ADIChain and Securitize have entered into a partnership to launch regulated tokenized financial products in the United Arab Emirates. The collaboration aims to strengthen local tokenization infrastructure and expand institutional participation in response to growing demand for regulated on-chain financial products. Securitize has long focused on real-world asset and securities tokenization, and the partnership further connects institutional-grade asset issuance with the UAE digital finance market, reinforcing the Middle East’s position as a major region for RWA and regulated digital asset infrastructure.
According to Cointelegraph, Polygon has added stablecoin payment capabilities at the checkout stage on the OMS platform, supporting multiple wallets, multiple tokens, and cross-chain payments. Users can complete payments without first converting assets or withdrawing funds, simplifying the settlement process for merchants and end users. The feature reflects the continued expansion of stablecoins from basic on-chain transfers into real-world commercial checkout scenarios while using cross-chain compatibility to reduce friction across different wallets, networks, and assets.

Recently, users should remain alert to the risk of physical tampering in hardware wallet supply chains. According to the security information provided, a Ledger hardware wallet purchased from an official European reseller was found to contain suspicious wiring and an unauthorized implant that does not exist in genuine devices, while suspected cases have also been reported in Asia, South America, and Europe. Such attacks may involve physical modification before a device reaches the buyer, and even if the original secure element remains intact, software-based Genuine Check tools may not detect added hardware components. Users should purchase hardware wallets through official channels whenever possible, inspect packaging, casing, and internal components for signs of tampering, avoid devices from unknown sources or with broken seals, generate seed phrases independently during first-time setup, never use seed phrases supplied inside the package, and avoid importing high-value wallets into suspicious devices.

According to Odaily Planet Daily, Unichain announced that it will migrate to OP Enterprise in preparation for native interoperability across OP Stack chains. Once the interoperability feature goes live, users will be able to move assets between OP Stack networks without relying on conventional cross-chain bridges, with ETH expected to be supported first. The Unichain testnet is scheduled to migrate on October 13, while the mainnet migration is planned for late October. The transition is expected to strengthen native interoperability within the OP Stack ecosystem and reduce additional bridging steps for users moving assets across chains.
According to Odaily Planet Daily, Ripple-backed XRP treasury company Evernorth has completed its business combination with SPAC Armada Acquisition Corp. II, bringing approximately 473 million XRP and $300 million in cash proceeds into the public market. An 8-K filing submitted by Evernorth to the U.S. SEC shows that the transaction closed on October 9, U.S. Eastern Time. The company is expected to begin trading on Nasdaq next Monday under the ticker XRPN. The transaction further connects the XRP treasury model with public capital markets, creating an additional route for institutions to gain XRP-related exposure through a listed company.
According to CoinDesk, Robinhood Chain is evaluating an improved paid transaction ordering mechanism developed by Arbitrum. The technology allows transactions that pay additional fees to receive priority in ordering. Robinhood Chain currently uses a first-come, first-served transaction ordering model and has not adopted Arbitrum’s earlier Time Boost version. If implemented, the new mechanism could change how on-chain orders are executed and prioritized, potentially affecting high-frequency trading, arbitrage, and MEV-related strategies. The technology remains under evaluation, and no implementation timeline has been announced.
According to Odaily Planet Daily, Nasdaq-listed TruGolf Holdings has completed its acquisition of Canadian asset tokenization company Polymath Research Inc., which will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary. Polymath develops Polymesh, a Layer 1 blockchain designed for regulated assets. As of December 31, 2025, the company had issued more than $132 million worth of tokenized assets for over 65 active issuers and had more than 50 ecosystem partners. The two companies also plan to launch equipment-lease tokenization and fractional franchise ownership projects in the first quarter of 2027.

The size of the round was not disclosed, while the project was valued at $2 billion. Polychain Capital founder and CEO Olaf Carlson-Wee announced the financing at the Network State conference. According to Edaily, South Korea’s Ministry of Economy and Finance has issued an administrative notice on amendments related to the Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework, proposing that domestic crypto asset service providers retain external personal wallet and overseas wallet addresses for six years. For purchases of goods or services using crypto assets, transactions of $50,000 or more would require both the paying customer and the receiving merchant to be included in reporting. The proposed changes are designed to align with the OECD’s CARF framework, which is set to take effect on January 1, 2027. South Korea has also identified 55 participating jurisdictions for cross-border crypto tax information exchange.

Recently, users should remain alert to “rug pull” schemes involving hidden token allocations, misleading liquidity promises, and concentrated token selling by project teams. The U.S. Department of Justice disclosed on October 7 that the creator of Kishu Inu had been indicted, with prosecutors alleging that material misrepresentations were made to investors while large amounts of tokens reserved at the project’s creation were secretly sold, allegedly causing approximately $9 million in losses. Before participating in newly issued tokens, users should carefully review team holdings, token allocation, liquidity-lock arrangements, and movements by large addresses rather than relying solely on rising market capitalization or social media promotion. If team-controlled addresses repeatedly transfer tokens to exchanges, liquidity is suddenly withdrawn, or contract permissions remain highly concentrated, users should consider reducing their risk exposure.
