Analysts mock Trump as Iran dupes the White House's ceasefire proposal

President Donald Trump and his administration are presenting a different proposal for the Iran ceasefire deal than Iranian officials', according to the Associated Press.

The AP reported Iran's Farsi-language version of its 10-point ceasefire plan includes the phrase "acceptance of enrichment" for its nuclear program, language conspicuously absent from English versions shared by Iranian diplomats to journalists.

Few details about the agreement have been publicly released.

The discrepancy suggests Iran may be attempting to mislead the Trump administration regarding uranium enrichment requirements.

Political analysts reacted with mockery on social media.

Via Bluesky, Political strategist Simon Rosenberg wrote Trump's action in Iran will be remembered indefinitely, adding, "There is no possibility of redemption."

University of Florida professor Michael McDonald reacted sarcastically, "Quick. Someone shove granite and gold fixture choices for the ballroom bathrooms in front of Trump."

Rutgers professor Matthew Buckley asked on Bluesky, "Are you tired of winning yet?"
