Republican called out to his face for racist remarks in TMZ interview

A Republican lawmaker was called out for his history of making racist remarks during a live interview on TMZ on Thursday.

Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) was asked on "TMZ Live" to respond to comments made by right-wing influencer Dan Bilzerian on Wednesday, who called Fine a "fat Jew" during a live interview. Fine said that Bilzerian's comments showed he intended to use the term "Jew" as a slur rather than a statement of fact, and that it could potentially harm Bilzerian's chances of running for office one day.

TMZ posted a video of the interview on its X account.

"He simply doesn't like Jews, and in America you're allowed to do that," Fine said. "I don't think it's going to work out becoming a Congressman having that perspective."

Co-hosts Harvey Levin and Charles Latibeaudiere then read excerpts from Fine's previous statements and compared them to what Bilzerian said. Fine has called Muslim leaders "terrorists" and has said, "The choice between dogs and Muslims is not a difficult one."

"It seems like when President [Donald] Trump said there would be an entire civilization wiped out, you supported that," Latibeaudiere said.

"Well, look, I think you've taken a lot of things and smushed them together," Fine said. "I don't know that you've provided any of the context for what I said.
