The Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (CLARITY Act) of 2025, introduced in May 2025, continues to face a lot of undercurrents, causing the deadline to increase day by day.
Yet, despite the back and forth between the Senate, the crypto community, and the banking community, Senator Cynthia Lummis underlined her push for the bill.
Taking to X, Lummis said,

Why is the CLARITY Act important?
For those unaware, the GENIUS Act, passed in June 2025, was the start of the clear regulatory framework in the crypto market, whereas the CLARITY Act is the finish line.
Thus, for true transformation in the digital assets space in the U.S., it becomes important to pass the CLARITY Act.
Remarking on the same, one of the industry participants, Chad Steingraber, argued,
Explaining his stance, Steingraber explained that, after regulatory stability around stablecoins, ‘tokenized assets, decentralized exchanges, and new means of capital formation,’ also need reformation.
In fact, recently, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong also accepted US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s recent argument on the CLARITY Act and urged Congress to pass the bill as fast as possible.

At the same time, the Polymarket odds for the passage of the CLARITY Act 2026 were sitting at 65% alluding that the bettors are also optimistic about the passage.

Though there were speculations that this bill would compromise the advancement of the Act. Senator Lummis denied these FUD and put it best when she noted,
