'Stop dropping names': Video shows coke bust arrest of Trump official's son

The arrest of the son of President Donald Trump's globetrotting special envoy has resurfaced after a news outlet obtained explosive body camera footage of the incident.

Zach Witkoff, the son of U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff and co-founder of the Trump family’s cryptocurrency company World Liberty Financial, was taken into police custody on New Year's Day 2022 after a fight at Miami nightclub E11even, and officers say they discovered a bag of cocaine in a search of his pockets, reported The Newsground.

In footage obtained by the website, a security guard for the upscale nightclub reminds Witkoff, who was 28 at the time, that he tried to enter the club after he was previously turned away and then got into a physical altercation, and he can be heard confirming to police that he had cocaine but insisted "it's not even mine."

Witkoff also tells police that he had "done nothing" and insisted that he was the victim of an assault, and he then claims to be close with the club's owner.

“I’m friends with Marc Roberts, I swear to God," Witkoff says in the body cam video.

“Nobody cares,” the security guard replies. ”You understand that, right? Nobody cares. Stop dropping names.”

Witkoff was charged in the incident with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and felony possession of cocaine.

Miami-Dade County records show Witkoff posted bond within days and entered a written plea of not guilty on Jan. 3, 2022, but the matter never proceeded to trial after prosecutors voluntarily dropped the felony cocaine charge and one count of resisting arrest.
