APT’s market structure is currently showing horizontal consolidation; although it gives bullish signals above the short-term EMA20, can nearby resistances trigger a trend change? Structural breakout levels are critically important.

Market Structure Overview

APT’s current market structure is exhibiting horizontal consolidation around the 0.96 USD level. The presence of more resistance levels in daily and weekly timeframes (1D: 4R/1S, 3D: 3R/0S, 1W: 3R/1S) creates strong barriers for upward movements. Although the price is positioned above EMA20 (0.93 USD), showing a short-term bullish structure, the Supertrend indicator’s bearish signal and the 1.12 USD resistance keep the overall structure cautious. RSI at 54.41 is neutral, while MACD’s positive histogram provides mild bullish momentum. This structure characterizes a range-bound market rather than a clear HH/HL (higher highs/higher lows) or LH/LL (lower highs/lower lows) trend. With a 2.45% drop in the last 24 hours, the price is stuck in the 0.96-1.00 USD range, balancing around swing points. Market structure analysis requires monitoring breakouts at these levels; as a BOS (break of structure) could clarify the trend direction.

Trend Analysis: Uptrend or Downtrend?

Uptrend Signals

For an uptrend, an HH/HL structure is sought: The price needs to form new higher highs above previous swing highs (e.g., 1.0050 USD and 1.2171 USD) and higher lows. Currently holding above EMA20 (0.93 USD) maintains the short-term HL structure, and MACD’s bullish histogram supports momentum. RSI at 54.41 is at a neutral level away from overbought territory; this leaves room for upside potential. If the price breaks the 0.9660 USD resistance, bullish continuation could be triggered with HH formation, targeting 1.4809 USD (structural target, score 31). However, the current range is insufficient for a clear uptrend; EMA20 support must be maintained.

Downtrend Risk

For a downtrend, an LH/LL structure is monitored: Breaking the 0.9574 USD swing low (score 71/100) would confirm a bearish BOS with lower lows. The Supertrend’s bearish signal and failure to pass nearby resistances (0.9660 USD score 77/100) increase LH formation risk. MTF resistance weight (total 10 strong levels) could bring the 0.4859 USD target (score 22) into play on a downside breakout. BTC dominance’s bearish Supertrend also creates additional pressure on altcoins. LL confirmation requires a close below 0.9574 USD; this would disrupt the current sideways structure.

Structure Breakout (BOS) Levels

Structural breakout (BOS) levels confirm trend changes. For bullish BOS: A daily close above 0.9660 USD (near resistance, score 77) and 1.0050 USD (score 77) strengthens the HH/HL structure; a subsequent breakout at 1.2171 USD (score 69) triggers a major uptrend. For bearish BOS: A close below the 0.9574 USD swing low confirms the LL structure, accelerating a drop toward EMA20 (0.93 USD). These levels are critical for Change of Character (CHoCH): An upside BOS signals a shift from sideways to bullish; a downside BOS gives a bearish reversal signal. The 1.12 USD Supertrend resistance should also be monitored for BOS. The market awaits volume increase at these levels; low-volume breakouts may be fake.

Swing Points and Their Importance

Recent Swing Highs

Recent swing highs: 0.9660 USD (score 77/100, near resistance), 1.0050 USD (score 77, medium-term target), 1.2171 USD (score 69, major resistance). These points are testing LH formation; failure to break them increases bearish pressure. Rejection at 0.9660 USD preserves the current range; a breakout brings bullish momentum with HH. Importance: These highs define the upper boundary of the market structure; BOS begins here.

Recent Swing Lows

Recent swing low: 0.9574 USD (score 71/100, main support). This level is a critical point maintaining the HL structure; its break signals bearish CHoCH with LL. EMA20 (0.93 USD) acts as secondary support. Importance: Swing lows measure trend strength; holding them sustains bullish bias, loss accelerates reversal.

Bitcoin Correlation

BTC is in an uptrend at 77,520 USD (-0.13% 24h), but Supertrend is bearish and dominance cautions altcoins with risk. APT is highly correlated with BTC; if BTC supports (77,282 USD, 74,925 USD) are not held, LH/LL risk increases for APT. BTC resistances (77,707 USD, 79,511 USD) breaking opens room for APT’s bullish BOS. BTC breakdown below 70,620 USD triggers a 0.9574 USD test in APT. Watch: BTC dominance rise pulls APT’s range downward.

Structural Outlook and Expectations

Overall structural outlook is sideways with short-term bullish bias (above EMA20), but resistance weight carries bearish risk. HH/HL requires 1.0050 USD BOS; LL requires 0.9574 USD breakout. CHoCH is expected; the current range will break with increased volatility. Expectations: Bullish continuation to 1.4809 USD, bearish to 0.4859 USD. For trades, wait for BOS confirmation, place stop-loss at swing levels. Market structure is dynamic; MTF resistances dominate.

Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC

The post Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson has weighed in on whether the Federal Reserve should make a 25 basis points (bps) Fed rate cut or 50 bps cut. This comes ahead of the Fed decision today at today’s FOMC meeting, with the market pricing in a 25 bps cut. Bitcoin and the broader crypto market are currently trading flat ahead of the rate cut decision. Franklin Templeton CEO Weighs In On Potential FOMC Decision In a CNBC interview, Jenny Johnson said that she expects the Fed to make a 25 bps cut today instead of a 50 bps cut. She acknowledged the jobs data, which suggested that the labor market is weakening. However, she noted that this data is backward-looking, indicating that it doesn’t show the current state of the economy. She alluded to the wage growth, which she remarked is an indication of a robust labor market. She added that retail sales are up and that consumers are still spending, despite inflation being sticky at 3%, which makes a case for why the FOMC should opt against a 50-basis-point Fed rate cut. In line with this, the Franklin Templeton CEO said that she would go with a 25 bps rate cut if she were Jerome Powell. She remarked that the Fed still has the October and December FOMC meetings to make further cuts if the incoming data warrants it. Johnson also asserted that the data show a robust economy. However, she noted that there can’t be an argument for no Fed rate cut since Powell already signaled at Jackson Hole that they were likely to lower interest rates at this meeting due to concerns over a weakening labor market. Notably, her comment comes as experts argue for both sides on why the Fed should make a 25 bps cut or…
