A New Jersey Republican lawmaker is still absent from work with a mystery illness he has not explained to his constituents or the general public.
According to Politico, "Rep. Tom Kean Jr. will not return to Capitol Hill this week, a staffer in his Washington office told POLITICO when asked Tuesday. The New Jersey Republican has not voted since March 5."

Kean's office has stated that he is dealing with a "personal medical issue" and promised he would soon make a "full recovery" and be back at work last month. However, there is still no sign of his return.
Notably, a report last month indicated that stock trades are still being made on Kean's behalf even in the weeks he is recuperating from his unspecified illness.
Kean's ongoing absence and his refusal to offer further details on why have earned a fresh wave of ridicule and questions alike.
"At some point here, doesn't he have to say what the hell is going on?" asked political commentator Chris Cillizza on X. "The man has not been at work in TWO months. Could any of us get away with that if we didn't tell our boss what was happening?"
Meanwhile, the Democratic House Majority PAC posted an image of his face with the logo "Where in the World is Tom Kean Jr.?", a reference to the "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?" detective mystery video game franchise.
