MANILA, Philippines – The House prosecution panel in the trial of Vice President Sara Duterte faced the media as a group for the first time on Tuesday, May 19, and unveiled the assigned impeachment article per lawmaker.
There are four articles, related to Duterte’s alleged misuse of public funds, bribery of public officials, unexplained wealth, and threats to the life of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Below are their complete assignments:
Article I: Culpable violation of the Constitution, graft and corruption, and betrayal of public trust related to her alleged misuse of confidential funds
- Lead: Batangas 2nd District Representative Jinky Luistro
- Members: Manila 3rd District Representative Joel Chua, Iloilo 3rd District Representative Lorenz Defensor, 1-Rider Representative Rodge Gutierrez, Cagayan de Oro 1st District Representative Lordan Suan, Bukidnon 2nd District Representative Keith Flores, Akbayan Representative Chel Diokno, Bicol Saro Representative Terry Ridon, Mamamayang Liberal Representative Leila de Lima
