Go-Karting With Kids: Age & Height Limits

Most JB tracks go by height, not age, since the kart’s pedals and seat are the real limit. Here’s the quick version:

• Under 100cm: Stick to parent-child or double-seater karts (KF Kiddy Circuit, GO! KARTING at KSL, X Park and Angsana all offer these).
• From 100cm: Kids can usually drive solo on dedicated kids’ tracks like KF Kiddy Circuit.
• Around 140cm and up: Most adult electric tracks (Evolt and similar) will let them drive.
• 152cm (5 ft) and up: Required for the faster single-seaters, like Angsana’s petrol karts.

No driving licence is needed at any of these tracks. Limits do vary by venue and can change, so it’s worth a quick message to the track before you make the trip with little ones. Confirm the current height rule with the venue.

What’s Changed Since Last Year

If you’re working off an older list, two updates for 2026:

• The Zone at Berjaya Waterfront has closed. The indoor go-kart and rage-room venue took its final lap on 28 February 2026, so cross it off.
• Permas Go Kart’s status is unclear. Listings conflict, with some marking it permanently closed and no recent reviews. Call ahead before driving out, or default to RUD Medini.

On the flip side, RUD’s Sutera Mall outlet, GO! KARTING at KSL and OMK at AEON Tebrau have all opened up the indoor scene, so there’s more choice closer to the malls than ever.
