Anna Faris wanted her Scary Movie 6 character to go full MAGA — and nearly pulled it off, except for one joke that didn't survive the editing room.
In a new interview with Dexerto, Faris revealed she pushed for Cindy Campbell's return to reflect a very specific cultural archetype. "I was always pushing for Cindy to be classic MAGA rabbit hole," she said. "The kind of person that you saw outside of the Walmart during quarantine, that was raising some kind of crazy a-- fuss."

One bit in particular went all the way to post-production before getting cut. "There was a moment where I'm getting just wasted, just so drunk," Faris explained. "I'm in my truck, of course, and I look into the rearview mirror and I say, 'Be best, Cindy Campbell. Be best.'" She added: "That didn't make it, but I liked my little winking there."
The reference is to Melania Trump's 2018 "Be Best" initiative — an anti-cyberbullying campaign that drew widespread mockery given her husband's prolific history of online attacks.
Faris was philosophical about the cut. "You know, what are you gonna do? You gonna be mad at Cindy?" she said. "I'm in a movie that is truly the most offensive movie ever made. I think I can kind of do anything. It liberated me."
Scary Movie 6, released June 5, reunites Faris with Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, and Regina Hall. It marks Faris' return to the franchise after sitting out 2013's Scary Movie 5.
