Kraken has been named the Official Crypto Exchange Supporter of the FIFA World Cup 2026. The deal covers North America and Europe and focuses on fan engagement, crypto education, and product access around the tournament.
FIFA Chief Business Officer Romy Gai said the partnership fits the organization’s fan experience goals. Kraken co-CEO Arjun Sethi said football brings people together across borders and languages, and that money should work the same way.

The 2026 World Cup runs across seven weeks in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. It is the first edition to feature 48 teams and 104 matches. FIFA expects more than six billion cumulative viewers.
Kraken will use the World Cup platform to introduce football fans to digital assets. The focus will be on education, brand visibility, and direct product access.
Fan activations are planned before and during the tournament. Programming will connect to match viewing, football communities, and tournament events across both regions.
The first public activation is tied to the FIFA World Cup 2026 Countdown Concert on June 10. The concert spans several cities as part of pre-tournament preparations.
Kraken has not disclosed the financial terms of the FIFA agreement.
Kraken already holds partnerships with Tottenham Hotspur, Atlético de Madrid, and RB Leipzig. The exchange also sponsors Atlassian Williams Racing in Formula 1.
Those deals placed Kraken in front of football and motorsport audiences before the World Cup deal was signed. The FIFA partnership extends that reach to a global tournament audience.
Kraken has operated for more than a decade and serves users in over 190 countries. The exchange will use that existing infrastructure to support World Cup programming.
Crypto companies have increasingly used sports partnerships to reach people outside of trading communities. Kraken’s approach here centers on education and awareness rather than direct trading promotion.
The 2026 World Cup is FIFA’s largest ever by team count and match total. It spans three countries and 16 host cities, offering Kraken a wide geographic footprint for its activations.
Sethi said the tournament is a global stage where football and cryptocurrency can meet. FIFA and Kraken both highlighted fan engagement as the core goal of the agreement.
The countdown concert on June 10 marks the start of Kraken’s public World Cup programming. Activations in North America and Europe will follow through the duration of the tournament.
