CNN reveals disturbing police call recordings from MAGA rep's frightened ex-wife

The ex-wife of a GOP lawmaker broke down as she detailed a disturbing incident where he pointed a gun at her.

Rep. Max Miller (R-OH), a Trump-endorsed congressman, is accused of beating his ex-wife, Emily Moreno, who is the daughter of Republican Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH). He's even alleged to have burned his ex-wife with boiling water.

CNN revealed recordings of a police interview with Emily Moreno that described an incident where Miller became so enraged that he pointed a gun at her while she was changing their daughter.

"I was changing the baby, and I couldn't do that with the lights off, so I turned, I turned the light on," Moreno told a police officer from Bay Village, Ohio, in a recorded interview. "That made him upset."

The officer asked Moreno how Miller reacted, and Moreno said, "He was yelling at me."

"Can you remember anything he said?"

Moreno can be heard sniffing and struggling to answer the question. "I don't know," she finally said.

"Okay," the officer said, followed by a brief silence. "Then, what happens after that?"

A barely audible Moreno answered in a wavering voice, "I don't know," before sniffing more.

"So when does the gun come into play?" the officer asked. "When I'm changing," Moreno said quickly.

"And what does he do?" the officer followed up.

"Holds it at me," Moreno said.

"Holds it on you?" the officer asked. "Can you show me where he held it to you?"

Moreno can then be heard crying and breaking down. The officer swiftly begins to reassure her, saying, "Hey, it's okay. That's fine," in a friendly tone. "That's fine. Like I said, that's a hard thing to talk about."

In the same CNN segment, Miller denied the allegations as "completely fabricated," adding, "I don't have a weapon that's even easily accessible in my home."

He told CNN, "What we're dealing with, unfortunately, is something that many families go through."
