KASIBU, Nueva Vizcaya — Tourists looking for outdoor adventures now have a new destination in Nueva Vizcaya with the launch of the Capisaan C3 Experience, featuring coffee, caving and camping activities in this upland town.
The new tourism package lets visitors explore the Capisaan Cave System, enjoy locally grown coffee and spend the night camping in the cool mountains of Kasibu.
Governor Jose V. Gambito and Kasibu Mayor Romeo Tayaban led the launch as part of the province’s effort to promote Nueva Vizcaya as a top eco-adventure destination in Northern Luzon.
Aside from its famous caves, Kasibu is also known for its coffee farms, where visitors can learn about local coffee production and meet farmers who help sustain the town’s growing tourism industry.
The program also highlights community-based tourism, giving local guides, farmers and residents opportunities to earn from tourism while helping preserve the area’s natural attractions.
Mr. Gambito said the province has adopted a management plan to protect the Capisaan Cave System as visitor arrivals increase. He added that more adventure activities, including kayaking, river tubing, trekking, downhill biking and off-road motorcycle rides, are being developed to attract more tourists to Nueva Vizcaya. — Artemio A.
