KUALA LUMPUR, June 29 — Police are tracking down the driver of a Perodua Kembara who allegedly drove dangerously, crashed into two vehicles and fled the scene on the Federal Highway near here on June 20.

Petaling Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Shamsudin Mamat said police detected a viral video of the incident at about 7.45pm last night before launching an investigation, Harian Metro reported.

He said preliminary findings showed the accident occurred at about 6.10pm when the Perodua Kembara, driven by a local man in his late 50s, was travelling from Shah Alam towards Kuala Lumpur.

“Upon reaching the location, the driver is believed to have driven dangerously before colliding with a car and a motorcycle.

“After the crash, the driver fled the scene, leaving the vehicle behind,” he said in a statement today.

The motorcyclist suffered minor injuries and was sent to Sunway Hospital for treatment.
