PETALING JAYA: The prices of RON97 petrol, unsubsidised RON95 and diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will all be reduced by 10 sen from tomorrow, the finance ministry announced today.

RON97 will retail at RM4 per litre, while unsubsidised RON95 will be priced at RM3.37 per litre. Diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will be reduced from RM4.07 per litre to RM3.97 per litre.

These prices are effective until July 8.

RON95 sold under the BUDI95 scheme will continue to be sold at RM1.99 per litre, while the price of diesel will be fixed at RM2.10 per litre under the BUDI Diesel initiative.

In a statement, the finance ministry said even though there is sufficient fuel supply, Malaysians are urged to plan their journeys more efficiently and cut unnecessary travel to help conserve national fuel reserves amid continued global supply uncertainty.

“The government will continue to take a prudent approach to shield the public from price volatility while ensuring the country’s fuel supply remains adequate and reliable.”
