Samsung Galaxy A27 5G available in PHL starting July 10

SAMSUNG Electronics Co., Ltd. last week launched the Galaxy A27 5G, which will be available in the Philippines starting July 10.

The latest addition to the Galaxy A series is priced at P18,990 for the 6GB memory + 128GB storage variant, while the 8GB+256GB model costs P21,990. It has three colors: Black, Blue, and Light Pink.

The Galaxy A27 5G can be purchased via Samsung’s website, Samsung Experience and Authorized Stores, and Samsung Flagship stores on Lazada and Shopee.

The new device has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also has an upgraded Infinity-O display that minimizes the visible camera area through a discreet punch-hole design.

“Together with a reduced and more balanced bezel, this adds screen space and removes distractions to keep content front and center. With a slim 7.8-millimeter (mm) body, Galaxy A27 5G is designed to feel comfortable in the user’s hand throughout the day.”

Meanwhile, it is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 mobile platform.

“A boost in GPU performance delivers smoother graphics for gaming and streaming, while the latest high-speed memory enables faster data transfer speeds and improved power efficiency.”

It also has a 5,000mAh battery that supports fast charging. Storage is also expandable by up to two terabytes via MicroSD.

The Galaxy A27 5G features a 12-megapixel (MP) front camera, while its rear camera setup is made up of a 50MP wide-angle lens, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens.

It features upgrades to existing artificial intelligence (AI) features like Circle to Search with Google, Object Eraser, and Voice Transcription in the Voice Recorder app.

“Building on the Awesome Intelligence experiences introduced earlier this year, Galaxy A27 5G supports a choice of AI assistants, including Google Gemini and Perplexity,” Samsung said, adding that it also supports Bixby as a conversational device agent.

The brand said the phone will support up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, as well as up to six years of security updates.
