A veteran Trump chronicler admitted that she's noticed a "shocking" change in the president's coherence.
On a Wednesday episode of The Daily Beast Podcast, MS NOW journalist Katy Tur discussed with host Joanna Coles how obvious the difference is between how Trump used to speak and how coherent he is today.

"Go back and look at a clip of him from 2000," Tur said. "It is shocking how coherent he was compared to what he is now."
One of the main differences between a younger Trump and the octogenarian he is now is, "He could keep a thought," Tur noted.
"He could keep going with that thought, and he could answer questions cogently," Tur said. "And today, he's just all over the place."
Tur told Coles that she can see "there's a mental difference in the way that he speaks today," adding, "even in 2016, then 2020. I don't think you need to ask me that. You can go and look and see it for yourself in the clips" of Trump on the old campaign trails.
"He's more chaotic in the way that he answers questions," Tur continued. "He goes on more tangents. He doesn't follow a thought clearly.
"And he's president," Coles responded. "So that's alarming that he doesn't follow a thought clearly."
"I would think that anybody who was concerned about Joe Biden would have been concerned about this," Tur responded.
Coles noted, "The White House has said he's got chronic venous insufficiency," a condition where the veins in the legs can't pump blood back up to the heart efficiently. "Which is not uncommon in someone of his age," she added.
