Powermax Minerals Inc. (CSE: PMAX) (OTCQB: PWMXF) has announced the start of high-resolution airborne geophysical surveys and field exploration programs at its Pinard and Hopkins rare earth element (REE) properties in Ontario. The company said helicopter-borne surveys are now underway at both properties, with contractor Geo Data Solutions GDS Inc. collecting magnetic, radiometric spectrometric and very low frequency electromagnetic (VLF-EM) data. These surveys are designed to improve geological interpretation and identify areas for future drilling and follow-up exploration.

The exploration program combines airborne magnetic, radiometric and VLF-EM surveys with geological mapping, prospecting and sampling to identify prospective REE targets. The work advances Powermax’s broader North American rare earth portfolio, which includes projects in Ontario, British Columbia, and Wyoming. Rare earth elements remain strategically important as demand from electric vehicles, renewable energy, and defense technologies continues to expand.

The company stated that survey results are expected to guide future drilling and follow-up exploration. However, the exploration targets discussed are conceptual, and there is currently not enough data to confirm a mineral resource. Further exploration may not yield successful results.
