Mitsubishi Motors engages government stakeholders at PIMS 2026
MITSUBISHI MOTORS Philippines Corp. (MMPC) President and CEO Ritsu Imaeda met with Bureau of Customs (BoC) Port of Batangas District Collector Carmelita Talusan and Department of Trade and Industry-Board of Investments (DTI-BoI) Executive Director Corazon Halili-Dichosa during the recent Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS). MMPC said in a release that this “(reflects) the company’s continued commitment to constructive engagement with government stakeholders who contribute to the growth and competitiveness of the Philippine automotive manufacturing industry.”
MMPC shared that it has a longstanding partnership with the Bureau of Customs Port of Batangas, a key gateway that supports the efficient importation of the brand’s vehicles and components. “As one of the country’s leading importers, MMPC recognizes the importance of close coordination with the bureau in facilitating trade and supporting business operations.”
MMPC collaborates with the DTI-BoI by aligning its investments and long-term commitments with the development goals of the Philippine automotive sector. This includes the company’s support for government electrification programs, seeing in the pipeline the local production of hybrid electric vehicles.
“Constructive engagement with our government stakeholders remains important as we continue to contribute to the growth of the Philippine automotive industry,” said Mr. Imaeda. “We value the opportunity to exchange insights with our partners in government and explore ways to support shared economic and industrial objectives.”
