The 2025 LPGA Tour has delivered an unpredictable and thrilling season thus far. Through 25 official events, not one single player has claimed more than one victory in 2025: 26 distinctly different LPGA Tour winners. With 26 different champions already crowned, the 2025 LPGA Tour season is already a record-tying season that could soon make LPGA Tour history.
Youmin Hwang Becomes 26th Different Winner
Following the LOTTE Championship presented by Hoakalei, Youmin Hwang of Korea became the 26th different athlete to win on the LPGA Tour in 2025. Hwang, having finished at seventeen under par, edged out fellow countrywoman Hyo Joo Kim, also of Korea, by one stroke.
Other notables on the leaderboard included Nelly Korda in a tie for fourth at fourteen under par and A Lim Kim in a tie for tenth at twelve under par. Despite her dominant seven-win season in 2024, Korda notably has not lodged a win in 2025.
Weather Woes in Arkansas
Prior to the LOTTE Championship, the LPGA Tour made a stop at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers, Arkansas-host of the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, presented by P&G, which ended abruptly. Following the conclusion of the first round of play, the remainder of the tournament was canceled due to adverse weather and unplayable course conditions. As a result, the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship did not count towards the official 2025 LPGA Tour standings.
Depth of Field
The 2025 LPGA Tour season ties the record for most winners in a single year, having previously occurred in 1995, 2018, and 2022. Especially compelling is the emergency of so many rookie winners in 2025, seven to be exact. Those include:
- Rio Takeda (Japan)
- Ingrid Lindblad (Sweden)
- Chisato Iwai (Japan)
- Lottie Woad (England)
- Akie Iwai (Japan)
- Miyu Yamashita (Japan)
- Miranda Wang (China)
The Final Stretch
Up next on the 2025 LPGA Tour schedule is the Buick LPGA Shanghai at Qizhong Garden Golf Club in Shanghai, China. With six events remaining on the schedule before the CME Group Tour Championship, the 2025 LPGA Tour season has already been a milestone year. The race is on to set a new LPGA Tour record if a 27th different champion can emerge.
