Today’s Strands Breakdown

I found some of the top-left words first: FINCH, then GOOSE and WREN and then the spangram made itself rather apparent: FALL MIGRATION. HAWK was next, before I swooped over to the other side of the grid and found DUCK and THRUSH and finally WARBLER. This was pretty easy as far as Strands puzzles go. I’m not a bird-watcher and I don’t even own binoculars (I used to, I lost them or lent them to someone) but this did make me think that it would be cool to go watch some birds migrate. See some geese in a V. It also made me think of the currently airing series Task on HBO. Mark Ruffalo plays an FBI agent who hobbies as a bird-watcher, and this comes into play during the show as something of an extended metaphor. It’s a great show so be sure to check it out. It’s one of my Top Shows Of 2025 (So Far) list.
