The post ‘Eve Frontier’ Jumps Ship from Ethereum to Sui—Here’s Why appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Sci-fi survival game Eve Frontier is transitioning from the Ethereum-based Redstone gaming network to the layer-1 blockchain Sui. Game developer CCP Games told Decrypt the move wasn’t motivated by a financial grant, but because the network is aligned around a “deep philosophical direction for the game” and the “future of virtual worlds.” Over the coming months, a CCP Games spokesperson said, Eve Frontier will be ported over to Sui. Since the game is currently running on testnet, players will not need to migrate any assets. CCP Games told Decrypt that the move doesn’t change the game’s roadmap; rather, it enables the studio’s future vision. “This partnership unlocks the long-term roadmap for Eve Frontier to become a ‘forever game,’” the CCP Games spokesperson told Decrypt. “The move to Sui opens up a range of features, including: Better user onboarding and experience, aligned architecture and scalability, [as well as] security-enforced moddability and composability.” EVE Frontier will be built on @SuiNetwork – a blockchain purpose built for gaming, with all the tools needed to truly put the Frontier in the hands of our players and third-party developers. pic.twitter.com/OkWldoFTqk — EVE Frontier (@EVE_Frontier) October 8, 2025 Spun off from the infamously hardcore and long-running game Eve Online, the blockchain-powered Eve Frontier is a massively multiplayer online space survival game set in a universe that “literally wants to kill you,” CCP Games founder and CEO Hilmar Veigar Pétursson previously told Decrypt. “Since inception, our mission has been to create virtual worlds more meaningful than real life. With Eve Frontier, we are pushing that ambition further than ever before: building a player-moddable universe, bound by its own digital physics, that can outlive us all,” Pétursson said in a release. “For us, Sui offered the unique alignment of architecture, security, and user experience. Sci-fi survival game Eve Frontier is transitioning from the Ethereum-based Redstone gaming network to the layer-1 blockchain Sui. Game developer CCP Games told Decrypt the move wasn’t motivated by a financial grant, but because the network is aligned around a “deep philosophical direction for the game” and the “future of virtual worlds.”

Over the coming months, a CCP Games spokesperson said, Eve Frontier will be ported over to Sui.

“The move to Sui opens up a range of features, including: Better user onboarding and experience, aligned architecture and scalability, [as well as] security-enforced moddability and composability.”

Spun off from the infamously hardcore and long-running game Eve Online, the blockchain-powered Eve Frontier is a massively multiplayer online space survival game set in a universe that “literally wants to kill you,” CCP Games founder and CEO Hilmar Veigar Pétursson previously told Decrypt.

Together, we’re building a world that can truly stand the test of time.”

Both CCP Games and Mysten Labs told Decrypt that they are working together to “investigate” a port for Eve Frontier that’ll bring the game to the SuiPlay0X1 handheld console.

The SuiPlay0X1 is a high-end mobile PC gaming device that’s positioned as a rival to Valve’s Steam Deck. It can play traditional games like Elden Ring, but is uniquely positioned to natively support crypto games via the PlaytronOS.

“The initial focus for the partnership will be using Sui and its primitives, such as zkLogin, programmable transaction blocks (PTBs), and sponsored transactions,” a spokesperson for Mysten Labs told Decrypt. “In the future, the partnership will leverage the entire Sui stack, with further information on how these services will be integrated forthcoming.”

A Netflix ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Short Film Has Been Rated For Release

The post A Netflix ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Short Film Has Been Rated For Release appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. KPop Demon Hunters Netflix Everyone has wondered what may be the next step for KPop Demon Hunters as an IP, given its record-breaking success on Netflix. Now, the answer may be something exactly no one predicted. According to a new filing with the MPA, something called Debut: A KPop Demon Hunters Story has been rated PG by the ratings body. It’s listed alongside some other films, and this is obviously something that has not been publicly announced. A short film could be well, very short, a few minutes, and likely no more than ten. Even that might be pushing it. Using say, Pixar shorts as a reference, most are between 4 and 8 minutes. The original movie is an hour and 36 minutes. The “Debut” in the title indicates some sort of flashback, perhaps to when HUNTR/X first arrived on the scene before they blew up. Previously, director Maggie Kang has commented about how there were more backstory components that were supposed to be in the film that were cut, but hinted those could be explored in a sequel. But perhaps some may be put into a short here. I very much doubt those scenes were fully produced and simply cut, but perhaps they were finished up for this short film here. When would Debut: KPop Demon Hunters theoretically arrive? I’m not sure the other films on the list are much help. Dead of Winter is out in less than two weeks. Mother Mary does not have a release date. Ne Zha 2 came out earlier this year. I’ve only seen news stories saying The Perfect Gamble was supposed to come out in Q1 2025, but I’ve seen no evidence that it actually has. KPop Demon Hunters Netflix It could be sooner rather than later as Netflix looks to capitalize…
