Oracle is set to construct giga-scale AI supercomputers powered by the Spectrum-X Ethernet switches. The company aims to leverage the NVIDIA Vera Rubin architecture to accelerate AI factories, enhancing interconnectivity and efficiency. Mahesh Thiagarajan, Executive Vice President of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, emphasized the partnership’s potential to expedite AI training and deployment, benefiting customers with advanced AI capabilities.

The Spectrum-X Ethernet platform is engineered for the era of trillion-parameter models, providing hyperscalers the ability to interconnect millions of GPUs with unparalleled efficiency. It has already set records in efficiency, achieving 95% data throughput with its congestion-control technology, compared to the 60% throughput of conventional Ethernet at scale.
