Ripple Unveils $200,000 “Attackathon” to Fortify XRPL Lending Protocol SecurityRipple has announced a $200,000 developer bounty program designed to identify and fix vulnerabilities in the XRP Ledger (XRPL) lending protocol. The initiative, launched in partnership with leading Web3 security platform Immunefi, marks Ripple’s latest move to reinforce the robustness and trustworthiness of its rapidly expanding decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem. The “Attackathon” invites ethical hackers, developers, and security researchers worldwide to rigorously stress-test the XRPL lending protocol. Participants will compete to uncover and report critical vulnerabilities, earning rewards proportional to each bug’s severity and potential impact. Backed by Immunefi’s trusted bug bounty framework, the $200,000 prize pool guarantees transparency, fairness, and a stronger, more secure XRPL ecosystem.Ripple’s move underscores the company’s commitment to maintaining top-tier security standards as the XRPL ecosystem evolves beyond payments into lending, tokenization, and broader DeFi applications.By leveraging Immunefi’s community of over 50,000 security researchers, Ripple aims to identify potential exploits before they can be weaponized by malicious actors.Immunefi, renowned for safeguarding major projects like Polygon, Synthetix, and Chainlink, will manage the entire process, from vulnerability submissions to verification and payouts. The partnership underscores a rising industry movement to reward ethical hackers and strengthen open-source blockchain security. As a result, the Attackathon underscores Ripple’s push to expand XRPL’s global reach. Ripple Unveils $200,000 “Attackathon” to Fortify XRPL Lending Protocol Security

Ripple has announced a $200,000 developer bounty program designed to identify and fix vulnerabilities in the XRP Ledger (XRPL) lending protocol.

Backed by Immunefi’s trusted bug bounty framework, the $200,000 prize pool guarantees transparency, fairness, and a stronger, more secure XRPL ecosystem.

Ripple’s move underscores the company’s commitment to maintaining top-tier security standards as the XRPL ecosystem evolves beyond payments into lending, tokenization, and broader DeFi applications.

By leveraging Immunefi’s community of over 50,000 security researchers, Ripple aims to identify potential exploits before they can be weaponized by malicious actors.

Immunefi, renowned for safeguarding major projects like Polygon, Synthetix, and Chainlink, will manage the entire process, from vulnerability submissions to verification and payouts. The partnership underscores a rising industry movement to reward ethical hackers and strengthen open-source blockchain security.

As a result, the Attackathon underscores Ripple’s push to expand XRPL’s global reach. As new DeFi features launch and adoption accelerates across Africa and Asia, Ripple is positioning XRPL as a secure, scalable, and cost-efficient alternative to Ethereum-based networks.

XRP Ledger Powers Africa’s Genomic Revolution

In a quiet but seismic shift in Africa’s technological landscape, the XRP Ledger is gaining traction as the underlying infrastructure for a radical new form of identity architecture, one rooted in genomics.

Spearheading this evolution is DNA Protocol, whose recent onboarding of six certified laboratories across Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, and Arusha marks a critical milestone in establishing genomic identity anchoring on XRPL.

Instead of storing raw DNA, DNA Protocol transforms genomic data into a cryptographic fingerprint, a secure, immutable hash anchored on the XRPL.

This approach makes identity verification verifiable and tamper-proof while protecting sensitive genetic information. It’s a breakthrough in privacy-first identification, enabling ‘KYC without revealing your DNA.

Selecting Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, and Arusha as launch hubs is a strategic move. These cities provide logistical connectivity across Tanzania, linking commercial, administrative, and border regions.

By establishing six certified labs across them, DNA Protocol is building localized infrastructure to sequence, hash, and anchor genomic identities directly within the communities it seeks to empower.

Therefore, this rollout builds on earlier milestones in Nigeria, where DNA Protocol onboarded labs in Lagos, Abuja, and Kano, signaling a deliberate pan-African expansion. Parallel deployments in Kenya and Rwanda further reinforce its broader strategy to establish genomic identity infrastructure across the continent.

Conclusion

The $200,000 XRPL Attackathon is more than a bug bounty, it’s a strategic investment in the future of DeFi on the XRP Ledger. By rallying global developers and security experts to fortify the protocol, Ripple is cultivating transparency, innovation, and trust.

As XRPL evolves into a versatile platform for lending, tokenization, and real-world asset integration, this initiative ensures its foundation remains robust, secure, and ready to power the next wave of global DeFi adoption.

On the other hand, DNA Protocol’s expansion across Tanzania signals more than a tech deployment, it marks the dawn of a new identity era in Africa.

By merging genomic science with the immutable security of the XRP Ledger, the project establishes XRPL as a foundational layer for secure, inclusive, and privacy-centric digital identity across the continent.

Quantexa Launches Platform to Reduce Stablecoin Strain on Small Banks

The post Quantexa Launches Platform to Reduce Stablecoin Strain on Small Banks appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. In brief Quantexa designed an AML solution for mid-size and community banks. It can help them identify crypto-powered crime, according to Quantexa’s Christopher Bagnall. Stablecoin legislation is expected to unlock new competitors. Quantexa, a data and analytics software firm, introduced a product on Wednesday that’s intended to help smaller financial institutions fight crypto-powered crime in the U.S. The London-based company is now offering a cloud-based, anti-money laundering (AML) solution through Microsoft’s cloud computing platform, which is “designed specifically for U.S. mid-size and community banks,” according to a press release. Quantexa said the pre-packaged product allows teams investigating financial crimes to make faster decisions with less overhead while maintaining accuracy, noting that banks are held to the same compliance standards across the U.S., despite what resources they may have. The product, dubbed Cloud AML, is also meant to reduce “false positives.” A company survey published earlier this month found that 36% of AML professionals think digital assets will have the biggest impact on the AML industry within the next five years. The product’s debut follows the passage of stablecoin legislation in the U.S. this summer that’s expected to unlock competition from the likes of Bank of Ameerica and Citigroup. With federal rules in place, stablecoins are expected to become more mainstream. Some banks are taking a forward-looking approach toward their products, but most are more concerned about the ability to monitor inflows and outflows within the context of financial crime, Chris Bagnall, Quantexa’s head of financial crimes solutions for North America, told Decrypt. “They’re just trying to find a way to monitor it, and that’s pretty much it,” he said. “Only the most innovative banks, which is a small handful in this space, are focused on making it a business.” Banks may be able to see that a customer received or…
