Good Fortune, a fantasy comedy starring Aziz Ansari, Seth Rogen and Keanu Reeves, is new in theaters. When will it be available to watch at home?
Also written and directed by Ansari, Good Fortune opens in theaters nationwide on Friday. The logline for Good Fortune reads, “A well-meaning but rather inept angel named Gabriel (Reeves) meddles in the lives of a struggling gig worker (Ansari) and a wealthy venture capitalist (Rogen).
Rated R, Good Fortune also star Kiki Palmer and Sandra Oh.
The first place Good Fortune will be available when the film comes to the home entertainment market will be digital streaming via premium video on demand. Generally, Good Fortune’s studio, Lionsgate, generally has a three- to five-week window between the time its films premiere in theaters and arrive on PVOD.
For example, the Ana de Armas and Reeves action thriller From the World of John Wick: Ballerina arrived on PVOD on July 1, about three and a half weeks after it opened in theaters on June 6.
More recently, Lionsgate’s dystopian horror thriller The Long Walk opened in theaters on Sept. 12 and will debut on PVOD on Oct. 21, about five weeks after its release date.
Should Good Fortune follow the same release pattern, viewers can expect the film to arrive on PVOD anytime between Nov. 11 and Nov. 25, since new releases on digital streaming typically arrive on Tuesdays.
Once Good Fortune arrives on PVOD, it will be available on such platforms as Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Prime Video and YouTube. Generally, new PVOD titles can be purchased for anywhere from $19.99 to $29.99 and available to rent for $14.99 to $24.99 for 48 hours.
Which Streaming Service Will Get ‘Good Fortune’ First?
Since Lionsgate has a Pay 1 window deal with STARZ’s digital platform, that’s where Good Fortune will make its premiere on streaming video on demand.
Generally, it takes Lionsgate movie releases about three and a half to four months after they premiere in theaters to arrive on SVOD on STARZ. For example, the Mel Gibson-directed Mark Wahlberg thriller Flight Risk debuted on SVOD on STARZ on May 24, four months after its Jan. 24 theatrical release.
More recently, From the World of John Wick: Ballerina debuted on SVOD on Sept. 25, about three and a half months after it opened in theaters on June 6.
Should Good Fortune follow the same pattern, viewers can expect the film to arrive on STARZ anytime between Jan. 29, 2026, and Feb. 12, 2026, since new movies tend to arrive on the platform on Thursdays.
Also starring Kiki Palmer and Sandra Oh, Good Fortune opens Friday in theaters nationwide.
