WWE Raw advertised the fallout after last week’s shocking betrayal when the Vision destroyed Seth Rollins, who will be out of action for several months. Raw also advertised Domink Mysterio vs. Rusev for the Intercontinental Championship, Maxxine Dupri challenging Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship and AJ Styles and Dragon Lee challenging the Judgment Day for the WWE World Tag Team Championships. WWE also announced an over-the-top rope Battle Royal to determine CM Punk’s opponent at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, where a new world champion will be crowned.
The October 6, 2025 broadcast garnered 2.6 million global viewers.
Seth Rollins Stripped Of WWE World Title As New Champion Will Be Crowned At SNME
WWE Raw opened with General Manager Adam Pearce in the ring. Pearce prepared to provide an update on Seth Rollins, but was interrupted by the Vision. Breakker led the new-look stable with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship over his shoulder.
Pearce told the Vision he knew Seth was banged up coming out of his match against Crown Jewel, “but none of us will ever know how badly he was injured” because of what the Vision did. Pearce announced Rollins has undergone surgery, and hereby strips Seth Rollins of the World Heavyweight Championship.
The Vision’s surprise turn on Seth Rollins ended Raw in Perth with more questions than answers. After scoring one of the biggest victories of his career, Rollins finally avenged his trilogy of losses to Cody Rhodes. But after obnoxiously celebrating himself over the course of Raw, Bron Breakker Speared his mentor. Bronson Reed followed up with a Tsunami Splash as Paul Heyman looked on in apparent surprise.
“I do not need the men in this ring, I have chosen the men in this ring and they have chosen me!” said a self-indulgent Rollins before his words came back to bite him.
Seth Rollins’ destruction was part of an emergency storyline after Rollins injured his shoulder at Crown Jewel during a coast-to-coast diving headbutt on Cody Rhodes. Rollins is set to undergo surgery, and is expected to miss several months. Rollins’ latest injury came after Seth notoriously faked a knee injury during a match against LA Knight at Saturday Night’s Main Event XL. The match ended abruptly, and Rollins spent the next several weeks walking around in crutches and speaking openly about seriously injuring his knee. Reports leaked soonafter, questioning the legitimacy of Rollins’ injury. In what is now known as the “Ruse of the Century,” Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase at the end of SummerSlam Night 1, defeating his bitter rival CM Punk.
While Rollins’ real-life injury led to a “Boy who cried Wolf” dynamic backstage, WWE clearly had to change its best-laid plans on the fly.

- The Vision arrived on Raw just in time to interrupt GM Adam Pearce. Bron Breakker had the prized WWE World Heavyweight Championship draped over his shoulder. Wade Barrett noted the world title was in abeyance.
- Pearce announced an over-the-top-rope Battle Royal for Raw, and the winner will face CM Punk for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in Salt Lake City on November 1. Fans booed the decision to have the world title match at SNME, but cheered the fact that the Battle Royal would take place tonight in Sacramento.
- Adam Pearce demanded Breakker hand over the world title. Breakker resisted and demanded respect. Fans chanted for CM Punk as Pearce asked Bron to hand over the title. This time, Pearce asked respectfully.
- Breakker finally handed over the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Paul Heyman hopped on the mic. He was in full heel mode. Heyman asked why everybody was so mad at the Vision. “What did we do to deserve that?” Heyman asked. Heyman said the Vision has nothing to do with Seth Freakin Rollins. Heyman didn’t betray Roman Reigns and CM Punk for Seth Rollins, he did it because Bron Breakker is the future of WrestleMania.
- Heyman said Rollins couldn’t shoulder his responsibility and called him a “Bum-shoulder b—h.” Heyman said Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed conspired to take everything away from Seth Rollins. Paul signed off by calling the surprising heel turn a “re-vision” of the future. Welcome to Monday Night Raw.
