The post Expected to edge higher to 0.6575 – UOB Group appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Australian Dollar (AUD) is expected to edge higher to 0.6575; the next resistance at 0.6595 is not expected to come under threat. In the longer run, AUD could edge higher to 0.6575, with lesser odds of reaching 0.6595, UOB Group’s FX analysts Quek Ser Leang and Peter Chia note. Next resistance at 0.6595 is not expected to come under threat 24-HOUR VIEW: “After AUD rose sharply on the open yesterday, we noted that ‘upward momentum is increasing.’ However, we pointed out that ‘it is not enough to indicate a sustained advance.’ We expected AUD to ‘trade in a higher range between 0.6510 and 0.6555.’ AUD then traded in a range of 0.6529/0.6559, closing on a firm note at 0.6556, up by 0.65%. Upward momentum continues to increase, and today, we expect AUD to edge higher toward 0.6575. We do not expect the next resistance at 0.6595 to come under threat. To keep the momentum going, AUD must not break below 0.6530, with minor support at 0.6540.” 1-3 WEEKS VIEW: “In our most recent narrative from last Tuesday (21 Oct, spot at 0.6515), we highlighted that ‘for the time being, we expect AUD to trade in a sideways range of 0.6445/0.6555.’ Yesterday, AUD rose to a high of 0.6559. There has been a slight increase in upward momentum, and AUD could edge higher to 0.6575, with lesser odds of reaching 0.6595. On the downside, if AUD breaks below 0.6515, it would suggest that AUD is likely to continue trading sideways.” Source: https://www.fxstreet.com/news/aud-usd-expected-to-edge-higher-to-06575-uob-group-202510281019The post Expected to edge higher to 0.6575 – UOB Group appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…
