Ripple (XRP) announced that it has received a $500 million strategic investment from Fortress and Citadel Securities, bringing the company’s valuation to $40 billion.
Accordingly, Ripple announced that it received an investment of $500 million from Citadel and Fortress companies.
This investment follows Ripple’s strongest year-end performance to date and its recent $1 billion tender offer at the same valuation, demonstrating continued confidence in the company’s growth trajectory and long-term vision.
The investment round, led by Fortress Investment Group and Citadel Securities, brought the company’s valuation to $40 billion. Pantera Capital, Galaxy Digital, Brevan Howard, and Marshall Wace also participated in the round.
“This investment reflects both Ripple’s incredible momentum and further validation of the market opportunity we are aggressively pursuing from some of the world’s most trusted financial institutions,” Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said in a statement. “We started with a single use case in 2012 – payments – and have expanded that success into custody, stablecoins, prime brokerage, and corporate treasury, leveraging digital assets like XRP. Today, Ripple is a partner for institutions seeking access to crypto and blockchain.”
