Signed from Bayern Munich in 2022, for what has proven to be a bargain €50 million fee, Robert Lewandowski is a modern-day FC Barcelona legend.

Netting 108 goals in 158 games, he has been a protagonist in two La Liga title wins, the same amount of Super Cup triumphs and the lifting of the Copa del Rey clinched at Real Madrid’s expense last term as part of a dominant domestic treble.

Even at the age of 37, the Pole has proven that he’s still a force to be reckoned with in the elite of European football.

After a spell out injured in 2025/2026, he returned to top form with a hat trick away at Celta Vigo last Sunday.

The win – only their third in Balaidos since 2015 – not only helped Barca make ground on Madrid at the top of the La Liga table. It also meant that Lewa is his team’s top scorer, despite missing a considerable amount of games as of late through a hamstring knock in his left thigh.

Regardless of how he and Barca go on to perform in what has been a mixed bag of a campaign thus far, though, it is highly believed that this one will be Lewandowski’s last in Blaugrana given his advanced years and the fact that his contract expires on June 30.

By outlets such as The Guardian, Barca is already being linked to Harry Kane, who can reportedly be released from his Bayern Munich contract providing his €65 million is triggered.

Like many European greats in the twilight of their careers, Lewandowski has been tipped for a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia or the United States before hanging up his boots.

At the same time, however, he and his family are said to be enamoured with the quality of life in Catalonia, and already calling it a day so that they can continue as local residents without the need for disruptions hasn’t been ruled out either.

FC Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has said he’ll make a decision soon

Asked about his future while on international duty this week, Lewandowski told TVP Sport: “Soon I will be ready to decide which path I want to take and see what my options are.”

“I’m calm. I don’t know where I’ll be or what I’ll want to do in a few months. I don’t have to do anything and I’m not in a hurry,” he added.

“My career is nearing its end, but as long as I play football, I want to make the most of it, not only on a sporting side, but also on an emotional level. I want to enjoy the moment and get the most out of it.”

FC Barcelona and Lewandowski return to action on November 22, with a home match against Athletic Club in La Liga which could be held at Camp Nou.

Fed rate decision September 2025

The post Fed rate decision September 2025 appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. WASHINGTON – The Federal Reserve on Wednesday approved a widely anticipated rate cut and signaled that two more are on the way before the end of the year as concerns intensified over the U.S. labor market. In an 11-to-1 vote signaling less dissent than Wall Street had anticipated, the Federal Open Market Committee lowered its benchmark overnight lending rate by a quarter percentage point. The decision puts the overnight funds rate in a range between 4.00%-4.25%. Newly-installed Governor Stephen Miran was the only policymaker voting against the quarter-point move, instead advocating for a half-point cut. Governors Michelle Bowman and Christopher Waller, looked at for possible additional dissents, both voted for the 25-basis point reduction. All were appointed by President Donald Trump, who has badgered the Fed all summer to cut not merely in its traditional quarter-point moves but to lower the fed funds rate quickly and aggressively. In the post-meeting statement, the committee again characterized economic activity as having “moderated” but added language saying that “job gains have slowed” and noted that inflation “has moved up and remains somewhat elevated.” Lower job growth and higher inflation are in conflict with the Fed’s twin goals of stable prices and full employment.  “Uncertainty about the economic outlook remains elevated” the Fed statement said. “The Committee is attentive to the risks to both sides of its dual mandate and judges that downside risks to employment have risen.” Markets showed mixed reaction to the developments, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up more than 300 points but the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite posting losses. Treasury yields were modestly lower. At his post-meeting news conference, Fed Chair Jerome Powell echoed the concerns about the labor market. “The marked slowing in both the supply of and demand for workers is unusual in this less dynamic…
