What’s the hottest storyline in WWE today? With Survivor Series War Games happening on November 29 in San Diego, that’s the easy answer. However, there’s also the build toward Saturday Night’s Main Event happening on December 13 in Washington D.C.

The G.O.A.T John Cena will have his final match and his opponent will be determined in the Last Time is Now tournament. We began with 16 competitors and we’re now down to ten remaining.

On Friday Night Smackdown, the final two spots in the final eight will be determined. Here’s how you can watch and the info on the card.

Smackdown November 21 Card

The other matches haven’t been finalized, but according to the Ball Arena official Instagram account, the following WWE Superstars are scheduled to be in attendance and/or in the ring.

While his name isn’t listed, Jacob Fatu appears on the poster. This could mean the Samoan Werewolf is due to return and to pursue the person or people who attacked him backstage on Smackdown a few weeks ago.

Fatu could also be saved for Survivor Series where his return could play a role in the result of the men’s War Games match. There is a storyline question as to whether Drew McIntyre or Rhodes attacked him.

We could see that angle become another compelling piece to follow across the WWE landscape. Rhodes figures to continue his interactions with CM Punk, the Usos and perhaps even Roman Reigns, though the latter hasn’t been confirmed for a Smackdown appearance.

Reigns and Brock Lesnar have already been added to the men’s War Games match to complete the teams (Reigns, Rhodes, Punk and the Usos vs. Bron Breakker, Reed, Logan Paul, McIntyre and Lesnar). If we find out that perhaps Lesnar is the man responsible for putting Fatu on the shelf, it could set up a thrilling match at an upcoming premium live event.

Zayn and his band of rag-tag friends are set to take on Sikoa and the MFT on the November 28 episode of Smackdown in a traditional Survivor Series match. If you ask me, that is still a much more compelling version of a Survivor Series match.

Cargill has been running roughshod over opponents since she dethroned Stratton on the last Saturday Night’s Main Event. I’m expecting her to be in a match with Mia Yim and perhaps Stratton will run in to prevent the champion from dishing more damage after the bell.

Perhaps the most intrigue could come from the women’s WarGames situation. If there is any progression for that storyline, we could find out who the fifth member will be for both teams.

As of now, Alexa Bliss, Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley are locked in and WWE is still teasing Charlotte Flair’s buy-in. I expect that will be confirmed shortly. Bayley seems like a good candidate to join Bliss, Sky, Ripley and Flair after she turned down the invitation from Asuka and Kairi Sane to join the team that already includes Nia Jax and Lash Legend.

It’s hard to imagine where the fifth member will come from on both teams. Perhaps we will get some new insight on Friday. Be on the lookout for a recap and breakdown following Smackdown.
