TLDRs;

  • AMD and NeutraDC partner to expand high-performance AI infrastructure and enterprise services across Southeast Asia.
  • MoU includes consulting, research and training to support future proof-of-concept deployments using AMD Instinct MI300 accelerators.
  • High-density power and liquid cooling needs highlight reliance on NeutraDC’s upcoming Batam data center.
  • System integrators see rising demand for MI300-powered systems as enterprises scale AI adoption.

AMD and NeutraDC have entered a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating the use of next-generation artificial intelligence infrastructure across Southeast Asia, marking a significant step in the region’s ongoing digital transformation.

The collaboration, formalized through a memorandum of understanding (MoU), will see the two companies explore the deployment of AMD’s latest Instinct accelerators while jointly developing AI-driven solutions for businesses across multiple markets.

NeutraDC Singapore, part of Telkom Indonesia’s rapidly expanding data center arm, said the agreement lays the groundwork for an extensive cooperation framework. This includes technical consulting, joint research projects and the rollout of specialized training programs designed to help enterprises adopt advanced AI technologies efficiently.

The initiative, first set in motion in October 2025, is expected to support proof-of-concept deployments before maturing into broader commercial offerings.

Partnership Targets Regional AI Expansion

While both sides highlighted the long-term economic potential of the alliance, they emphasized that the true value lies in broadening enterprise access to high-performance AI computing.

NeutraDC currently operates 29 data centers across Indonesia and Singapore, making it one of the region’s most influential infrastructure providers. By integrating AMD Instinct MI300-class accelerators into its ecosystem, the company aims to offer enterprises greater compute density, faster model training capabilities and more flexible AI workloads.

Executives from AMD and NeutraDC noted that Southeast Asia is entering a critical phase of digital modernization. Governments, financial institutions, manufacturers and cloud-native startups are all escalating their demand for powerful compute clusters capable of handling workloads such as generative AI, fraud detection, video analytics and industrial automation.

Despite the collaboration’s ambitious scope, no financial terms or detailed implementation timeline have been publicly disclosed.

High-Density Data Needs Highlighted

The partnership’s success is expected to hinge in part on NeutraDC’s ability to deliver high-density power and cooling environments, requirements essential for hosting MI300-class AI systems.

Industry estimates suggest that advanced GPU deployment can demand nearly 700 watts per square foot, with rack densities of 30 kW or higher, far above the conventional 5–10 kW typical of standard enterprise racks.

Currently, NeutraDC’s most AI-ready site appears to be its upcoming Batam data center in Indonesia. The facility, which markets liquid cooling capabilities and high-density rack support, is slated to begin operations in the first half of 2026 and will offer 18 MW of installed capacity. Other NeutraDC sites in Singapore and Indonesia may require infrastructure upgrades before hosting similar workloads, suggesting a potentially extended technical consulting and planning phase before large-scale deployment begins.

MI300 Demand Rising Rapidly

This collaboration is already stimulating interest among system integrators and resellers across the region. AMD’s Instinct MI300 accelerators, designed for large-scale AI training and inference, have become increasingly sought after by enterprises looking to modernize their compute stacks.

Authorized distributors and OEM partners, including server manufacturers offering MI300-equipped systems, are reportedly preparing to meet a surge in demand.

Some providers are promoting preconfigured server models such as 8-GPU MI300X clusters or compact 4U MI300A systems, which offer high memory bandwidth and performance tailored for generative AI workloads. AMD’s channel partners in Asia Pacific may also enable remote-access proof-of-concept trials, giving enterprises the opportunity to validate AI projects before making large capital investments.

The new markets will open on October 13, after regulatory approval.  CME Group will expand its crypto products with options on the futures markets of Solana (SOL) and XRP. The futures market will start on October 13, after regulatory review and approval.  The options will allow the trading of MicroSol, XRP, and MicroXRP futures, with expiry dates available every business day, monthly, and quarterly. The new products will be added to the existing BTC and ETH options markets. ‘The launch of these options contracts builds on the significant growth and increasing liquidity we have seen across our suite of Solana and XRP futures,’ said Giovanni Vicioso, CME Group Global Head of Cryptocurrency Products. The options contracts will have two main sizes, tracking the futures contracts. The new market will be suitable for sophisticated institutional traders, as well as active individual traders. The addition of options markets singles out XRP and SOL as liquid enough to offer the potential to bet on a market direction.  The options on futures arrive a few months after the launch of SOL futures. Both SOL and XRP had peak volumes in August, though XRP activity has slowed down in September.
