PANews reported on November 21 that, according to on-chain analyst Ember, a whale staked ETH for three and a half months, earning 31 ETH (US$80,000) in interest, but lost its principal of US$4.66 million.
In early August, he withdrew 4,000 ETH from Binance and deposited them into Lido for staking and interest. Half an hour ago, he redeemed all 4,031 ETH and transferred them to Kraken.
He deposited the ETH for three and a half months and earned 31 ETH (US$80,000) in interest, but his principal was wiped out by US$4.66 million: the price of ETH dropped from US$3,905 when he staked it to US$2,682 now.
