Nvidia (NVDA) Stock: Inside the Foxconn Partnership Reshaping AI Access

TLDR

  • Nvidia and Foxconn are developing a $1.4 billion supercomputing center in Taiwan launching in H1 2026.
  • The facility will be Asia’s first data center using Nvidia’s Blackwell GB300 chips.
  • Nvidia is promoting GPU-as-a-Service through partner Foxconn’s new Visionbay.ai unit.
  • Foxconn produces 1,000 Nvidia AI racks weekly as the chipmaker’s primary manufacturer.

The project targets a first-half 2026 launch date. When complete, it will be Taiwan’s largest GPU cluster.

The 27-megawatt data center will run on Nvidia’s new Blackwell GB300 chips. This makes it Asia’s first GB300-powered AI facility.

Foxconn established Visionbay.ai to manage the project. The new business unit focuses on AI supercomputing and cloud operations.

GPU-as-a-Service Model Takes Center Stage

Alexis Bjorlin, an Nvidia vice president, discussed the partnership at Foxconn’s tech day. She emphasized the economic benefits of renting compute resources.

Bjorlin argued that building individual facilities may no longer make sense. The rapid pace of GPU technology advancement favors flexible rental models.

Visionbay.ai will offer GPU leasing through its AI Factory ecosystem. The platform includes Nvidia-native software solutions and a cloud-based AI App Store.

Enterprises get instant access to training, fine-tuning and inference capabilities. The model aims to reduce barriers for companies adopting AI technology.

Neo Yao serves as CEO of Visionbay.ai. The unit will operate the Taiwan facility when it comes online.

Manufacturing Partnership Deepens

Foxconn currently manufactures AI racks for Nvidia. These server racks contain chips, cables and equipment designed for AI workloads.

Chairman Young Liu said Foxconn produces 1,000 AI racks per week. The company expects to increase that capacity in 2026.

Foxconn operates as Nvidia’s primary AI rack manufacturer. This relationship has benefited both companies as data center demand grows.

Spencer Huang attended Foxconn’s tech day event. He manages Nvidia’s robotics product line and is the son of founder Jensen Huang.

Huang said Nvidia is collaborating with Foxconn on factory AI integration. The partnership goes beyond the supercomputing center to manufacturing applications.

Liu told Reuters that Foxconn plans $2 billion to $3 billion in annual AI investments. The company identified AI as a major 2026 growth driver.

Foxconn also revealed a partnership with OpenAI at the event. That deal involves producing components for OpenAI’s U.S. data centers.

The tech day brought together partners including OpenAI and Uber. Foxconn founder Terry Gou attended the event.

The GB300 NVL72 systems support enterprise-grade computing at scale. The facility advances Taiwan’s sovereign AI infrastructure development.

Foxconn has been expanding beyond traditional electronics manufacturing. The company now focuses on electric vehicles and AI infrastructure alongside its iPhone assembly business.

Scott Bessent says yuan drop against euro is Europe’s problem, not America’s

The post Scott Bessent says yuan drop against euro is Europe’s problem, not America’s appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in Madrid on Thursday that the slump in China’s currency isn’t a problem for the United States, it’s Europe that should be worried. Speaking during a joint interview with Reuters and Bloomberg, Scott made the comments after meetings with Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng as part of the U.S.-China trade discussions, which also included talks on TikTok. He made it clear that the yuan, also known as the renminbi, has actually strengthened against the U.S. dollar this year, but collapsed to a record low against the euro. “The RMB is actually stronger this year versus the dollar. Now it’s at an all-time low versus the euro, which is a problem for the Europeans,” Scott, rejecting the idea that Beijing was trying to devalue its currency to gain an unfair edge against Washington. He said Chinese officials haven’t tried anything of the sort with the U.S. and explained the reality behind the currency’s movement: “It’s a closed currency. So they manage the level.” Yuan collapse helps Chinese exports flood europe Since January, the yuan has plunged from 7.5 per euro to over 8.4, triggering concerns across Europe. Meanwhile, against the dollar, it’s gained slightly from 7.3 to 7.1. This divergence has created a lopsided trade dynamic, because while the U.S. has seen its imports from China drop 14% due to aggressive tariffs, Europe has recorded a 6.9% increase in trade with China. So, Scott said the U.S. tariffs are doing what they were meant to do, cutting down the trade deficit. But the redirected flow of Chinese goods is now landing in European markets instead, where the yuan’s weakness is making Chinese exports even cheaper in euro terms. The weakening of the yuan is hitting Europe at a sensitive time, as the European Central Bank…
