PANews reported on November 25 that the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) stated on its X platform that Reuters' report about its dissolution was fake news. The department will resume its regular Friday updates in a few days. The American people have authorized President Trump to modernize the federal government and reduce waste, fraud, and abuse. Last week alone, the department terminated 78 wasteful contracts, saving taxpayers $335 million.
Furthermore, according to the Global Times , US officials published an article claiming that Reuters' report that "the US has prematurely disbanded DOGE" is "not true." Reuters quoted the head of the US Office of Personnel Management, Cooper, as saying that the department "no longer exists" and is no longer a "centralized agency." Cooper himself responded on social media X on the 23rd, saying: "Reuters' editing is truly 'brilliant,' extracting a few sentences from my entire commentary just to create an eye-catching headline."
